So... I decided I would finally check this fanmail kiosk. Let's see what has been said.

First one: "You are my favorite cat person" ... thank you... for that. I can say I have never been told that before.

Second one: "How do you keep your fur so nice and smooth?"

[He's really trying not to give the communicator a weird look for the cat questions]

It's not that long to begin with so it usually doesn't get too out of hand. Taking care of it helps, keeping it clean, occasionally with something if it becomes dry. Biffy has been a big help with finding the products.

[Shameless plug for Biffy...]

Third: "Like Z.O.M.G. Uliro is my O.T.P" ... I think I will need help translating this one.

Fourth: "Do you ever get a stiff neck from having to duck through all the doorways all the time?" Yes, I do. It is hard when the ship is not designed for your height. There isn't much to be done about it I'm afraid.

Fifth: "Is everything proportional?" ... Is everything proportional?

[There's a very faint sound like someone trying to whisper the explanation to him. He does also glance over in that direction before turning back]

I haven't noticed any fruit that is larger than a household chair so I'd assume everything is proportional.

I think that's all the questions I have time to answer at the moment. Thank you.

[And right before he cuts the video feed there's the sound of someone saying "that's not wha-" ... but then it's gone]

That was a wise decision. Allow them to be able to fight so they could handle what would be revealed to them.

Of course. We do not even one of our Blades to be caught unaware. Even new ones have some level of fighting ability even if they aren't up to our rigorous routine. But those are the only ones I would say need protection if the time came for it. Our headquarters made the possibility of being attacked directly near impossible.

Was it well hidden?

It lay in the midst of two black holes on either side of blue star. The path leading to the base was only accessible when cycles from the three celestial objects lined up. It was either too hot because of the star or if one moved too far off course, you would be drawn into gravity field of the black holes. The base was protected from all three by having the perfect position.

[That sure was a lot of phrases he's completely unfamiliar with. A LOT.]

I am not certain what you said but I take it to mean that it should be near impossible.

A blue star is a very large star compared to others. It is an old star that is burning a different fuel than a normal star, which makes its temperature higher than normal.

A black hole forms when a large star collapses at the end of its life. It creates a gravitational hole that nothing known can escape.

So we have a black hole, a blue star, and a second black hole together. Our base is there. Yes, it is near impossible to get to. But we know how.

Thank you for the explanation. It does give me a better idea of the circumstances. And to be impressed that you managed to put a headquarters in such a location.

It took a lot of calculations and observations of the location to determine there was a permanently safe location that was not permanently accessible. It was a challenge, but that is where a number of our members including our leader Kolivan are located.

He must be quite the man to be able to find so safe a location for all of you. There are many leaders who would not go to such lengths.

He is a good leader. We are both very old Galra and have been acquainted since we were younger. I know we do not always see eye to eye on things, but I respect his ability to lead.

If you should meet him though, I will warn you. He does not hold back in his words.

It is. If I can trust no one else for an honest opinion, it is Kolivan. He frequently provides it without being asked in my case.

[He is well aware Kolivan calls him a fool. He's heard it most of their time together. That was a Galra thing and one being Kolivan's contemporary earned him. Not that he minded. The day Kolivan stopped commenting was the day he stopped being concerned for him]

You two must have a very long friendship then.

We do. A very long time. I don’t know if I can accurately give how long we have known each other.

[For an old Galra, Kolivan is as much a friend as he got]

It shows in how you speak of him. It is very touching to see and I'm glad that you have him as a friend.

I would support him to the best of my abilities. I am also one of the few who will question his ideas and still be trusted by him.

That is a sign of great faith. That he wanted someone like that in his life and so you were the one that he chose.

It is. I know he would not have tolerated what I said and did if he did not understand my intentions or that I was not attempting to make a bid for leadership. I do not have the desire for such a thing.

Not all are suited to be leaders. And so we support those who are in our own ways.

No, not everyone is. I think I am too contradictory to be a leader. I tend to take things into my own hands more than a leader should do.

The independent force a leader needs instead.

He could trust me. I was undercover for quite some time in the ranks of the Empire. Not every Blade would have been trusted to be in the position I was for so long.

I hope one day I will meet him. He seems very important to you.

I hope that I will be able to introduce him to you. I should like to see him at least once more.
