[Vash stands in The Space Bar as it takes a moment for him to talk himself into making an announcement. Perhaps it was because part of him had hoped that Nami would be coming back.]

Hey. [There's a pause. He's heard these types of posts so many times. More than any other person in the fleet except for one, but he still didn't know how to start them.] So, Nami has been sent home. [Or at least he hoped so. Vash still had his doubts about that, but it still sounded nicer.] I guess I just wanted to let everyone know the bar is still open for business.

And, I suppose we should have a staff meeting. Figure out who's going to run the place. [Because he's not management material.] And maybe think about hiring someone else full time?

Math. My mortal enemy. If I must face it then I will be sure not to go alone and ask for your help first. [He says it with the most serious of tones. If someone didn't know better they might even think he was being serious and not kidding.]

You understand what I mean. [Pavel, as someone who also occasionally employs overseriousness in his joking, is not tempted to take Vash seriously.] I liked Nami very much. I would like to do what I can to help.

Yeah, she was a really good friend. Stuck around for a long time too. [So many people he's had to say goodbye to. This one hurt, a lot.] I don't think this place will be the same without her, but I think it will be the last thing she wants is for it to close down. I'm glad you're going to give us a hand with that.

[That's one of the worst things about places like this: the inevitable loss of most, if not all, friends.]

Happy to help... but if she returns and isn't satisfied with the way that the bar has been running in her absence, I would rather not take any credit.

Turns out Remy will be taking over the bar, so he's going to be your boss but you're hired regardless!

Does Remy know that I'm hired? I would hate to be asked to leave on the first day that I come to work.

I've let him know. He thinks you'll be a good addition to the team! [Not in those exact words, but he didn't say he thought it was a bad idea either!]

[He'll just assume that's exactly what Remy said because it'd be nice to be a good addition to something!] I will do my best to be that.
