More or less the same, I'm afraid. Just "keep going down". One or two said they heard that the deeper you go, the more the water glows. And if it's very bright, then the tree is near.

[ Yeah, he won't... ask her to elaborate on that one. A lot of bullshit has happened here lately, and he knows her world isn't all sunshine and rainbows either. He's always happy to listen, but he's not one to pry. ]

Not a clue. [ He shakes his head. ] If I don't come up with somethin' good by the time we get there, maybe I'll wish to stop smokin' cigarettes, think that's doable?

[And that's one of many things she appreciates about him. He'll listen, but not pry. There are some things that are just too difficult still to talk about, and she might not ever get to that point.]

I think it's an admirable one, and I hope it takes it. Those things are terrible for you. [They don't have them in her world, just pipes, but from what she's picked up in her time here, she's heard less than good things. Which, makes sense: lungs shouldn't be inhaling all of that crap.]

Okay, mom. [ He shakes his head. ] Yeah, nah, it's a nasty habit. When I was a kid, I always wondered why adults would tell me to never start smokin' while they were smokin', and now I feel like I've turned into that and I get it. [ Snort. ] Life's funny that way.

Don't you love it when adults pull a 'do as I say not as I do'? It infuriated me as a child. I'm glad we don't have those cigarettes in Thedas or I'd probably have started smoking them, just to annoy my mother.

Hah! Why can I picture that perfectly? [ He shakes his head. ] I completely admit that I started smokin' 'em 'cause the girl I really liked thought they were cool. Like seriously, if anyone asked her what her type was, she'd mention smokin'. [ Snort. ] We were stupid.
