[It's been a few weeks now, and while Thor doesn't keep obsessive tabs on Loki, he does make a note of seeing him around. Which he hasn't been. Thor lets it be for a while since it's not any of his business how Loki spends his time. But after several text messages telling Loki he should check it out only to be rebuffed, he gets annoyed.

Because now he has a reason to get Loki down here, a tradition he wants to take part in. Sure, he could do it on the ships. But frankly he thinks his brother needs to get out a bit more.

So he texts him.]

Can you come down to the planet, there's something I want to show you.

[ uh. no?? ]

What is it? And why do I need to go there to see it?

So you're NOT on the planet is what you're telling me.

[dothelokimotion]

Of course not. Why would I step foot on that planet?

[rebuildyourruins]

Because being on the ships for weeks on end is terrible?

Be as that may, I'm not stepping foot on any frozen rock.

[As he texts this, Thor's already climbing into his shuttle. Whether Loki wants it or not, he's getting taken on a day trip.]

Nothing good comes out of these places. The less I know, the better.

[That message arrives just seconds before there's a clang from down the ship's corridor, and only a few more moments pass until Thor's come barging into the kitchen as he is wont to do without warning.]

[ loki had been looking for the cake when he jumps, clearly startled when thor strides in. his mouth opens and closes abruptly, at a loss. ]

Yes, hello. [Thor thumps Loki on the back, genuinely glad to see him. Even if he is brooding in a ship.] Thought I'd find you here.

[dothelokimotion]

[ his eyes narrow briefly. ]

In the kitchen?

In your ship.

[The kitchen is part of the ship and not suspicious at all.]

And you're obviously not doing anything, so I think you should come with me.

[ as he does feel a little guilty for not seeing thor of late, loki caves slightly. ]

[Thor grins, glad enough to get this far without resistance. Maybe he didn't need the cake ploy after all.]

There are some springs down on the planet that I think you'd find interesting. I know where they are so I can take the shuttle straight there.

[ loki's expression twists. ]

Why that planet?

There aren't any others around. [Which is true, but Thor turns it into a point in his favour regardless.] Besides, you can't stay cooped up here the whole time.

[ that is deeply underestimating the lengths loki will go to, in order to avoid something. ]

Fine. Perhaps for a little while. I suppose this one can't hurt.

[Thor had come fully prepared to throw Loki over his shoulder and drag him out the door, so this is delightfully easy.]

And if you hate it, you can leave. [He casts his eye over the table and lands on the cake box he knew would be there.] Is that what you were doing in here?

[ wow rude. loki sniffs. ]

I was promised cake. Because my crew likes me.

[He doesn't bother confirming, just scooping up the cake box in one hand while he wheels Loki out the door with the other. This was already part of his game plan.]
