[Sora is an islander, and because of that he's not really equipped to deal with snow. He seems to have found a couple of jackets and a beanie that makes his hair stick out in odd ends and is tolerating it for now. Despite the cold, he seems pretty excited by being in this world, buzzing with a kind of pleasant energy.]

I found out we can go hunting here! Who wants to go with me to hunt a big animal? Oh, maybe a bear?! If they even have bears here.

Are bears a thing here?

I mean it, though! It would be a ton of fun, living off the land, seeking out a nice big haul for the people here, selling it and making everyone happy! I just....

Uh... I might need a bit of help making sure I don't freeze to death? So who wants to go??

Like how a potion helps you recover from wounds.

Huh... we just call that a potion back where I'm from. There's all different types, of course- for wounds, magic, poison, stuff like that. I didn't specialize in alchemy, but I learned the basic theories of artificing 'em at a school way back when.

Really?? I never learned anything about how to make them. I just bought them and used them.

Probably would have been a good idea, huh?

Prooooobably, yeah, but it's not so bad as long as you have a way to get them reliably. Alchemy isn't for everybody, and even I didn't know how to make that sort of stuff for most of my life.

Back where I come from, we mostly rely on moogles to make everything. Then they sell them to us.

Never heard of a moogle before. What's that?

Oh! They are these cute little guys who have round bodies and red balls floating on the top of their heads. They make and sell stuff, like potions, elixirs, armor, weapons, items. They're super useful and way friendly. When you talk to them they make this little noise like 'kupo.' They have shops throughout all of the worlds back home. It was super convenient when I was running low on what I needed.

Wow. Definitely never come across one of those guys before, but they sound like artificers for sure. Useful to have around! So long as you've got money to spend, anyway.

Heh, yeah pretty much. Though sometimes they'll make you something fun if you just bring them all the right ingredients too. It's really useful. And I got some really powerful weapons that way.

Geez, they can even make weapons? Are they fast with it? With artificing that can take upwards of a month if you want to make something halfway decent.

That's... whoa. That's wild, that's like god-level.

A proper artificing job can take days, weeks, even months if it's a high level magical weapon or fancy armor. I've never seen anyone finish in a single day unless they pulled a real all-nighter!

Is it?

Huh. I never really thought about it before. Maybe Moogles have magic that messes with time or something?

Could be. Time magic is one of the most powerful kinds that exists, and somebody with the ability to do artificing in a fraction of the usual time has gotta be packing serious power.

Who knows? If one shows up I'll ask him?
