Grumpy Bird
Who: Robin
Broadcast: Yes?
Action: Marsiva & SS Goldstone
When: 4/12 - 8/12
MARSIVA
[Tim wishes he could say he woke up alert and already assessing his environment but the truth is, he's very slow, very groggy and extremely confused when he first edges towards consciousness. It's only the cold from the barren Hospitality Deck that speeds up the process. He curls up and tries to reach for blankets that his sleepy mind tell him should be there. Only their absence has him sitting up to assess his current surroundings.]
First Hour
[Tim's first priority is his own body. He appeared here still in his Red Robin uniform and after a quick pat down, he realise that's all he's been left with. No grappling gun, no bo staff which he is not happy about but at least his identity is still safe.
Standing he notices the large viewing bay first and is immediately drawn to it. Hands find themselves against the glass-like surface and he cranes to see all he can. The constellations are wrong; well not wrong but wrong for any system Tim has in his memory. He takes a couple of hurried steps back as if to take in the bigger picture. Shoulders squared, breathes coming in and out to a precise mental count, his head cocks to take in the screen playing out the default Drift Fleet Encouragement Messages.
Deep breathe in, slow breathe out.
Stuck out in an unknown system, on an unknown ship, for entertainment purposes.
Perimeter check. Yes, we can handle that.]
First 24 Hours
[The perimeter check happens. Tim goes over the entire Hospitality Deck with a fine tooth comb. First he goes over it in a basic walk through, then he ransacks the entire place; strips the beds of any sheets, opens every cupboard and every container. Then he puts everything back exactly where it was before. If it wasn't so sterile to begin with you'd swear it was neater than before.
Anything small enough in the Medical Bay will be sneaked away into pockets in the belt.
Samples of the water is steamed and then frozen and then defrosted before the food get a familiar assortment of tests. Unless he finds something that resembles coffee he does not consume any of it.]
The Next 48 Hours
[Sleep doesn't happen, it doesn't even appear to be considered. He walks along each wall, running his fingers along looking for seams and he spends a little time using the kitchen cutlery trying to pry it away at the seams.
He gives up.
He spends a little time pacing in front of the large viewing windows.
He eventually finds or clears a large empty area and falls into a series of katas. This continues for hours until Tim is a panting sweating mess on the floor.
Tim approaches the showers and glares at the walls suspiciously looking for cameras. He glares at the showers. He leaves, stripping one of the cots of a sheet and ripping it long strips from it. He then weirdly flips his cape over his head and shoulders. When he emerges, the strips of cloth are being used as a make shift zorro style mask and the cowl from the Red Robin uniform has been removed. Shower is had.
Unfortunately after re-emmerging, Tim seems to have gotten an idea and anything resembling a sheet or blanket is pulled from wherever it lives, chairs and cots are rearranged however he can manage and over a couple of hours a blanket fort is constructed in the Hospitality Deck.
Anything that resembles alfoil/aluminium/or that makes a crinkly noise is placed around the perimeter and through the most obvious entrance as Tim disappears inside.
The Last 24 Hours
[Tim sleeps.]
SS GOLDSTONE
[Tim jumps and is on his feet in seconds when confetti and welcoming music suddenly break the absolute silence of the Marsiva; or what was the Marsiva anyway. Surprised eyes scan over what looks like.. a lounge? It certainly looks more lived in than the last one.]
Hello? Is anyone there?
[He doesn't drop his defensive stance as he turns to take in the exits to this room. His cowl is still down but his make shift 'zorro' mask remains on. It looks silly.]
If you're an alien who has kidnapped me, I'd very much like to speak to you?
[Speak to you, beat you up, he can multitask.]

I'm not collecting shit here anymore, so it seems kiiiind of disingenuous to go on calling myself a Reclaimer here. The only thing I have is this. [He holds up his left arm and there's a bracer there around his forearm.]
And since it's useless here, it's kind of like one of those "I went to Blah Blah Blah and all I got was this lousy bracer" things.
Re: video;
What did the bracer do?
video;
[He's dead serious about that, too. Taako isn't going to lose out on any money that should be directed his way.]
And the bracer called a giant glass ball out of the sky to take us to and from a secret moon base.
[/shrug]
Re: video;
Too bad you can't use it to go home [Secret moon base should be more shocking, it really should but he's had an interesting life, this day alone has just burnt out his ability to be surprised by that.]
video;
Re: video;
I suppose that's why they've let you keep it? Doubt they'd supply you with a way out that's so easy.
video;
[Taako holds his arm up and shows the metallic bracer. It's seamless and snug against his skin.]
Re: video;
What if you wanted to get it off? Is it more magic?
video;
....
Huh.
[He looks at the bracer for a moment, trying to remember what Johann or Killian or the Director said about them now. Was it Avi? Who the hell was it that told him how this shit worked?]
I dunno. I forgot.
Re: video;
Although they don't seem overly concerned with us keeping what armour we came with.
video;
Re: video;
It's armour and my uniform? Red Robin is a codename, I've never actually dressed up as a bird before.
It's technically a modified version of my brother's uniform [He has yet to find out Jason's thoughts on him stealing yet another costume and name from him but he didn't use this one as long as maybe he won't try to kill him this time.] which he got from a parallel universe... it's complicated.
What did you arrive with? aside from the bracer.. and hat?
Re: video;
My clothes like a normal person. Are you just going to be stuck in that thing the entire time? You might want to go shopping, like ASAP, if you don't want to stick out like a sore thumb.
Re: video;
[He's not happy about that.]
Well, I haven't any money to organise any clothing but it will happen as this isn't very comfortable to sleep in.
video;
You'll get money soon enough. The kidnappers here like to provide us some cash o we don't die.
And you can earn more if you do something interesting apparently. After I helped someone blow up a giant stash of umbrellas [and stole an entire store's inventory, then set two pieces of it on fire in a major scam that totally worked] I got a biiiiig ol' boost to the wallet.
[Oh right. This guy's a vigilante, he said right?]
We paid for the umbrellas, by the way.
Re: video;
Why would you blow up a giant stash of umbrellas?
Re: video;
I have no fucking clue, but it made her feel better?
Re: video;
video;
[Her power level was faaaar above his anyway, so he wasn't about to get on her bad side if he could help it.]
Some people stress bake, some people go shopping, and some just blow the ever-loving-fuck outta some shit. Po-tay-to, po-tah-to.
Re: video;
[He knows he tends to just focus on the mission but there is no mission here so... he has no immediate stress relief. This will need to be taken care of]
video;
[He sounds appropriately blase about that, but in all honesty, the greatest stress he's ever under is when he's fighting for his life. He doesn't exactly have to do that here, so saying "I kill whatever is annoying me" is probably not the right answer to a Lawful Good.]
What about you, Mr. Cloak and Cowl? Punching bad guys your go-to?
Re: video;
Not necessarily just the punching part although that is part of it.
Re: video;
Kiiiiinda got the whole "vibe" off you. Not much to punch here though, so you miiiight wanna pick up a new hobby.
Knitting? Stabbing with knitting needles? Painting?
Re: video;
I think you're getting a more violent vibe from me than is accurate... I hope.
Also if there's no one to punch here who exactly would I be stabbing with knitting needles?
Re: video;
[Taako shrugs.]
Who do you usually stab?
