WHO "Adra" & YOU
BROADCAST Fleet-wide video!
ACTION Starstruck or waystations.
WHEN Tomorrow, April 19th. (Which means post-shuffle.)

Okay, as it turns out... it's really hard to get in contact with people when you don't have their names or their ships or their numbers. But—I'm trying this responsibility thing and I want to give those powers back. The ones I had to borrow last week? But I can't find any of you! Good job. Bunch of winners here.

[ SIGH. ]

Right, okay, I'm not who I look like, either. Not... Adra. Actually asked him beforehand, too, so fuck off about that. But if you gave your powers away last week, that was me. Let's see... Allen, Katara, and, uh, two short blondes. About so-high. [ Yep, there's a motion here for Steffa and Shirley's heights. SURPRISE, SHIRLEY. ] Let me know where you are, and I'll give them back. Like I said I would.

[Alas, Belth is too educated for that.

Unless he breaks something.]

Does that club involve overthrowing the complacent bourgeoisie?

Well, yes and no. I'm talking about social reconstruction here. Part of the reason why the world is so corrupt is because of the people who run it.

It isn't impossible. There are multiple ways to get power: knowledge, money, achievements... After that, it's a matter of knowing how to play the game.

But if you don't have an appetite for politics, it does make things more difficult. I despise all the passive-aggressive court dances. I've always been straightforward, and I'll continue being that way when I am a magister.

[A sigh.] I understand that, too. I'm an apprentice to someone with a notable position, and I will inherit that position when he abdicates. It's... a waiting game.

I worked very hard to get here. I'm still overlooked most of the time because of my apparent age and my common blood, even if I have the skills necessary to become a magister.

Find stability, and the rest will follow. That's... what I was always told.

A year ago I would not have suggested this, but... sometimes, you can find stability in other people.

Are those other people here? Because, personally, I don't give a whit what you really look like. It can't be any worse than having fel-tainted eyes.

[He leans forward.]

You should be whatever you need to be. And if someone gives you trouble, set them on fire.

Yes, they do. That's what I have, and what Adra has. They mark us as blood elves. We're tainted by residual demonic energy so people automatically write us off as corrupted or evil or something else. [It's a big deal to him.] The ones who are not fel-touched act like they are above reproach, and they will kill us given the chance.

But, no. No one cares here. They should not care about your face, either.

I can defend myself. And if I can't for some reason-- I know the people on my ship wouldn't stand for it.

[He shakes his head.]

I don't like lying. It might solve problems for a short while, but they always come back threefold and worse.
