When: Yesterday, after arrival

ACTION:
Steve has just about managed to acquaint himself with the strange, new idea that he is now in space when the next curve is thrown his way. One second he's standing in a hallway, just about to walk up and ask someone if they have any idea what he's doing here. The next, he's...on a bridge. With confetti? And are those pudding cups? What the Hell is going on? He blinks around, his first instinct to always look and see if there is some sort of fight about to happen. Hands are in fists and he really wishes his shield was somewhere around here. But he dropped that in the dirt a few months ago, so fat chance.

Steve will stand down slowly, once no one attacks him right off the bat. Sadly, he's been in this position before; in a strange place and time, not knowing why or how. His thoughts are back on Earth and with the friends he's broken out of their floating prison and now, seemingly, abandoned. Maybe there is a way out of here. Or, maybe, he's needed here more? Hopefully someone is going to be able to talk him through it all.

Many hours later, Steve sends out a broadcast, finally understanding how and wanting to reach out to anyone else that might be here. Anyone else he might know.

"Uh. Hey. My name is Steve Rogers. Hopefully I'm doing this right and you can all see and hear me. I just arrived about..." He looks down at something and then scrubs a hand over his face as though in disbelief. "Two days ago. A lot got packed into those days, it seems. But I'm sure you all know how that feels."

Steve pauses, shifting a bit before getting closer to the camera, face serious. "I've met some people here so I know that what happened to me has happened to a lot of other good people. I have questions and a lot of things I want to look into. But first, I want to know who else is out there. Who else might have the same questions I do and who wants to start getting some answers."

He moves back and tries to smile. "Or who maybe just wants to talk? Anything. So, yeah. Thanks. How do I....um. Is it this butt-"

Video cuts off abruptly.

And yes, we just left a planet so I imagine we'll find another at some point. It was actually quite nice, the people were friendly and celebrating their New Year or at least something that resembled it?

and no I'm afraid I'm a Security Augment, I really do need to make more friends with people with other augmentations. I have the capabilities I learnt from home but well the tech here is very alien.

What Augment was picked for you?

Security for me, too. Which is good because our ship is apparently the one that battles best. Lot of upgrades there, I was told. But it would be more helpful if we could get a pilot....

[Also he'd need to know how effective the weapons were against the 'others'. For all he knows they were immune to it. There is so much to learn]

I was a fighter at home, too so I guess that was why. Now I just know how to use some more guns.

[He frowns]

I hate the idea of something in my head though...

My ship went from having only one security officer to three in less than a month. The ships seem to morph itself to fit which augments are on board and some things stay regardless of who leaves and who doesn't

[There are little all-seeing eyes that keep popping up on his ship. He's taken to just taping over them with what he has on hand since they don't go away]

I was a lot of things at home, honestly, I could have fit into a lot of augments and I wonder if I would not be more useful elsewhere.

I know how to use more guns but I refuse to use them so it seems pointless.

[He shrugs]

I hate a lot of things about this augment in my head but I will at least make it work for me while its there.

Hey. If it's possible to switch out and you want to start piloting, you know a ship that would pick you up.

[He has no idea if that's possible. He tried touching the augment earlier and got a low sense of dread about it so he let the whole idea go.]

What do you fight with if not your guns? I'm not overly keen on them myself.

If I could tinker with the augments I'd honestly just open the thing up to all skills, if I'm going to have something implanted in my brain it should be actually doing me some good.

However, I think I'll stay on the Goldstone; most of us seem to like our own company but I've grown fond of Kolivan and confusing him at every turn.

[He gives a cheeky smile to the camera. It makes him look more his age]

As for options outside of guns, well I've been trained in many different hand to hand styles but my preferred weapon is a bo staff. It's a good non-lethal option but I've been gathering materials to get all my other options back.

[Steve holds his hands up in mock surrender, grinning back. Part of him thinks back to the Spider kid from the airport.]

Nothing meant! My first day I don't need a reputation for trying to steal folks away from their crew.

[He is still smiling as he leans back, interested]

Other options? What would those be?

[Tim smiles in amusement]

I didn't think you were poaching Mr Rogers, just looking to even out your crew a little. Something I can understand.

and my other options are mostly of the throwable kind. Shuriken first off, gas, stun, ultrasonic, explosive, taser and glue grenades to name a few.

Never know what you need to be prepared for after all.

[Definitely still reminding him of the spider boy. Just with a lot more deadly weapons than strength and string. He whistles at the list]

That's quite a list. I guess with all that you'd be prepared for just about anything coming your way.

[Which begs...]

What were the things you fought like, back at home? People? Aliens? ...Monsters?

How about all of the above? [He shrugs]

Gotham, my home has a reputation for being kind of the worst of the worst rogues. You've got gangsters with split personalities, exploding penguin dolls, killer plants, giant crocodile men, drug dealers who use pumped up steroids to break you in half and one psychotic clown.

And outside of it, well yeah that's when the robots, aliens and others come into it. That's not even including the entire league of assassins and your general thieves, gangs and rapists.

As I said, prepare for everything. Including reality show making, interdimensional kidnapping aliens.

Unfortunately, they took all my equipment.

[Alternate Universe, he thinks immediately. Because he's never heard of Gotham nor of psychotic clowns or exploding penguin dolls and he's fairly certain that would have come up, sometime. He nods though since, at base, it sounds like the same sort of work he does. Crime fighting is the same wherever you go, it seems]

Yeah. I didn't have anything on me but I know others had their weapons taken, too. Probably just so we can't fight back. [A smart but aggravating plan]

My First Officer is pretty good at making things, though. Maybe you should talk with him and see what two people could do?

And yet they provide the Security Officers with their own weaponry and armour so we can at least defend ourselves. Plus some people have managed to either regain their preferred weapons and remake them so they don't seem overly concerned about us being threats to them.

Who is your first officer? I'd be happy to work with someone else, especially if they have the actual augment.

I'd love to know who they are. What they are. The tech they have must be light-years ahead of ours if it can punch holes in dimensions and time. Fighting them right now would be like a caveman swinging a club at an H-bomb. [He sighs, dispirited a little at that] Hux. Come on over any time you like and I'll introduce you. We all should be allies here.

You'll have to ask someone who has been here for more than a month for that kind of information I'm afraid. I'm encountered interdimensional travel before but it's always been to parallel worlds so this is something beyond even that.
