Action: Marsiva like everyone else, alas.

( Being a social sort of person, Sansa's current confinement on the Marsiva has been more than trying on her patience. She's had her memories invaded and hasn't been able to spend time with Tyrion the way she likes to at night. She hasn't been able to have training with Jim or Bucky. She hasn't been able to meet Kogarasumaru for tea or Leia to chat. She hasn't even been able to work on Akeldama's fine coats as much as she wants.

She is, overall, wholly unhappy with the situation.

The Atroma, being a cruel sort, had not provided her with any of her needlework to occupy her time. They did give her a warm shawl she'd gotten in the last system, though, and a pair of fuzzy slippers. She takes both with her to the main room and tries to find a book that catches her fantasy. Unlike Tyrion, she's no reader, and she wishes there were cards or a cyvasse board to better occupy her time. She picks one and pages through it. It turns out to be unwieldy, though, and not the romantic fantasy she'd prefer. And, as such, she ends up falling asleep with the book on her chest, startling when she hears someone come up alongside her. )

I'm awake, I swear it! I only dozed off for a moment.

Oh, so you know my lord husband? How fortunate, then, that we have common ground to speak of - though Tyrion might not like to hear it.

( Sansa laughs a bit, utterly amused. )

He seems to know everyone in this Fleet.

Oh! You're married. I've heard a bit about you too! He is not one to gossip, of course, but he's mentioned not wanting to disappoint you before.

And he does, doesn't he? And I've yet to hear from anyone who dislikes him.

Yes, I'm surprised he hasn't mentioned me as his wife. I suppose it doesn't matter, though. Tyrion's the only person from Westeros here in the Fleet with me, so if he mentioned a wife and mentioned me, I imagine one could put the two together.

( Sansa smiles softly. She does rather like Tyrion, more now than she ever did back home, and she is grateful for him here. )

I think it's good for him, that he's well liked here. It hasn't always been the case for either of us.

That's a shame. You both seem capable and thoughtful to me.

[He hasn't interacted a lot with Sansa but in general he has a positive impression of everyone on the Starduck.]

Though, if Westeros is like Thedas, being thoughtful and kind means that others will try to take advantage of you.

It's up to the people in power to try and discourage that, but that requires powerful people to be those things as well.

Very much so. Tyrion and I also have the burden of...particularly troublesome families. Mine is loyal and stubborn to a fault and his is scheming and power-hungry. We're not on good terms, Houses Stark and Lannister. Tyrion and I were married as a punishment, actually.

( It has blossomed to friendship and respect, though, and a bit more than that in recent months. Sansa is grateful for that solace here so far from home and family. )

Being good is a liability in Westeros.

Then I am glad both of you are here. We may face our memories being laid bare and other sorts of horrors, but at least we can be good to one another.

I hope that the calibrations end soon. It's maddening, to know that everyone can see the parts of me I most want hidden.

( There's such ugliness in Sansa's past, such cruelty. She doesn't want others to have to see it or know it when they see her. )

I agree. I hate how they force us to see things that aren't meant to be shared. [He realizes that makes it seem as if he is prompting her to talk about her own experience, which he doesn't want to make her think she has to do, so he shares his own experience first. He thinks this gives her space to either respond to him or share her own story.]

Someone I've come to really adore had all of his worst memories forced in the open, and I would have preferred that if I were to know those things about him, it was because he wanted to tell me them.

Now... [He shrugs, not able to find words strong enough to describe how upsetting that is. He settles on,] It makes me ill thinking about it.

One of my dear friends saw the most horrific thing that has ever happened to me, a year's worth of torture I would wish to blank from my own mind if at all possible. If I were to ask the Atroma for a boon, it would be to erase it all from me.

( Sansa sighs a bit. She understands what Cyril's friend must be going through, having been so exposed. It's agonizing. )

It makes me afraid others might see, that they might see me differently because of it.

I am so sorry this place made you re-live those memories.

There's nothing for it, I'm afraid. I think everyone is suffering through the demons of their past here. It makes for ill company - of course, we seem to be muddling through.

Somehow. It helps to have friends you can rely on.

Do you have anyone from home here? Anyone that you’re close to?

[Cyril looks sad for a moment, but he recovers after a moment.]

Ah, a complicated question. There are people here who I know, who I consider dear friends. But they didn't know me when I first saw them here. I was not a part of their lives in their version of Thedas.

We've become friends here, but it's not exactly the same.

I am sorry for that. Tyrion and I seem to be from different versions of the world. Things that have happened to me have not happened to him and I think I may be from further in the future. It makes things difficult, at times.

I can imagine...

I hadn't realized that he was from a different version of your home. I am glad that you are working out that together.
