Light it up like a fire in the night sky
[As promised, Zhade calls you. He calls on the secret network, and only briefly; he's surrounded by sparks and static as his fingers fly across the keyboard, though none of this is seen. It's an urgent audio message.]
I found them! Whatever you did-- it woke them up enough that I could find them. I'm breaking through as we speak. Once I get a lock on, we have a limited-- [BZZZZTTTTT-crackPOP] -- ignore that-- a limited amount of time. The Marsiva's defenses are about to come down. Distract Atroma, fire at will, and I'll bring them home safe.
You hear me?
Ten. Nine. Eight. Seven --
[There's the sound of a transporter firing up, and more furious typing and beeping from the consoles.]
Six! Five! Four! Three, two, ONE!
[And just like that, the invisible shields around the Marsiva fail. There's a frantic pause as Zhade checks to make sure everything's as it should be.]
Interceptors retrieved safely. Now light her up! You have just a few minutes, so go, go, go!
--------
(( ooc: This post is to serve as a "mingle" of sorts for any damage dealt to the Marsiva, any attempted investigations of the downed security, or any other coordination! Feel free to tag each other, play out any crew interactions related to the attack, or try to come up with your own plans! You ICly only have a few minutes, but OOCly the post will remain open. Hit 'em with your best shot, Fleet!! ))

Tyrion Lannister - First Breath
He was only going to get three shots -- and he needed to make them count. Calculations were put in, targets were locked, and he jammed his finger down on the button to shoot.]

Lup in her lich form is angry, electrified, and with the Imprisonment spell broken by their abrupt transport from ship to ship, she's glad for the distraction and for a target to aim her long-suppressed wrath. Damn the consequences, damn the backlash that might come from this. She needs to destroy something, and the ship of their captors is begging for it.
Upon reaching the Marsiva, she lifts a skeletal hand over her head and gestures downwards, and a collection of flaming meteors materialize from above and slam down upon the ship, pummeling a good eighty feet worth of its surface and leaving ugly dents and fractures in the hull. She doesn't stop there, already charging up her magic to fire off an arc of blue lightning that hits and splits off to strike multiple areas, charring the ship wherever it touches.
If all they have is a minute, that's nine or ten good spells she can get off, and she's making them count. As long as that shield is down, Lup is giving this her all.
Gods, but she's desperately needed this.]

The handle of the axe slaps into his palm and he wheels around in place, using the weapon's inherent momentum to fly over closer to where Lup is. He doesn't waste time trying to talk just yet though. In honesty he doesn't recognise who it is. No, instead he uses the opportunity to double up on firepower, lightning flaring around him before streaking off to hammer into the Marsiva at the same point Lup just struck.]

Her smile is imperceptible within the hood of her robe, but she's grinning anyway, watching the lightning scar across the surface of the ship. She wastes no time in following up with another spell, pointing her finger at the spot where he'd focused his lightning and casting Disintegrate at the highest level she has available. Arcane power surges from a single boney fingertip in the form of a thin green line, and when it hits the ship that energy spreads rapidly, dissolving a massive chunk of the metal around the point of contact. By the time it finishes in a matter of seconds, that section of the ship caves inward, the contents within completely gone, leaving only dust behind.
There's no time to explore, and she has no desire to get back inside the Marsiva after being trapped so long, but she can't help giving the empty hole a quick glance. There's no discernable features, though, so she just moves on.]

Lightning crackles around him and surges up into the head of the Stormbreaker, energy loading straight into the business end of the hammer. Eyes sparking bright with fury, Thor hauls back and lobs the hammer straight at the ship. It spins rapidly towards its target like a blinding-white pinwheel, electricity humming all through it - and then it strikes home with a boom that somehow still rings through the dead nothingness of space. The hull crumples under the blow, a crater forming around the hammer's impact site.]

Satisfied, Lup flies downwards, dipping towards the underbelly of the ship to see what can be damaged there, next.]

When Lup peels off to scout the underside, Thor whips around himself and angles back towards one particular part of the ship: the windows he had scouted months ago with Castiel and the others. He has to know if that one window is still there... the one he saw the oily liquid through. Speeding past the portholes along the ship's side none of them look right. He can't see through any of them. Was it actually here, or somewhere else?
With a frustrated grunt, he spins up and makes a pass on the next level, still searching.]
no subject
There's not much time left, but until those shields come back up, she's casting. Fuck this place.]
no subject
Setting his jaw with disappointment, he hauls back on Stormbreaker and slams it into the Marsiva again with both hands, point blank. The dent it leaves is more akin to a crater, one that crackles with electricity once he directs his lightning through the hammer into the hull again.
-- something tells him this is enough. Thor yanks the axe out of the hull and speeds back into space. His instincts are right, too. After he clears the area, the shields finally come back online, quickly snuffing out the lightning that was still coursing over the metal.]
no subject
Oh well, at least she got some good hits in. And by the look of the damn thing, plenty of others did the same, Thor included. She waves in his direction; no sense in hiding, since the cat's already kind of out of the bag.]
no subject
Thor looks over to where Lup is waving at him, eyebrows going up as he finally recognises her. His mind had been entirely focused on other things a few minutes ago. He lifts a hand to wave back in turn, before whirling around and aiming his hammer towards the Blue Fish.
Space isn't the best place to chat, even if he can talk perfectly fine out here - he'll catch up with her later.]

Lightning coils and twists around him, building brighter and brighter until he unleashes it all with a scream of fury. An absolute barrage of lightning bolts slam into the Marsiva's hull, rippling outwards from where they strike. He doesn't stop there; loading up Stormbreaker with electricity, Thor flings the hammer towards the ship as well, feeling a savage burst of satisfaction when it actually hits its mark. The hammer jolts and returns to Thor's outstretched hand, before he wheels around and shoots off around the Marsiva to start attacking it again in another location.
From a distance Thor looks like a bright spark speeding around the hulking ship, flaring with immense arcs of lightning every time he stops that smash into the exposed hull. It's not what you'd usually associate with a cosmic storm... but right now that's exactly what Thor's bringing to bear on their captor's ship. The full weight of an angry weather god's power.]

He leans out of the open launch bay and waves energetically at Thor zapping by, and then he points at the Marsiva and makes an exaggerated hefting motion. Then he lifts his axe and gives a thumbs up.
THROW HIM, BUDDY.]
no subject
Aha.
There isn't much warning before Thor spins the axe up in his hand again and comes hurtling towards the open launch bay. Thor's boots slam into the floor next to Magnus and he's grabbing him by the upper arm, something fierce and delighted in his expression.]
If that's your wish, I'll gladly make it true!
[Before Magnus has a chance to think that maybe it should be impossible to hear Thor talking in the dead of space, Thor's pointed his Stormbreaker towards the Marsiva again and they go rocketing out of the ship at incredible speed.]
no subject
More importantly, Magnus is cannonballing through the void of space right towards the Marsiva. His voice is clear across the communicators:]
HELLLLLL YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH! THANKS BUDDY!!!
[Thanks to Thor's given momentum, he's able to land one massive attack against the unguarded Marsiva. Magnus isn't just any normal dude, he's a ridiculously strong dude even without the aid of enchanted objects. There's no sound in space but the shockwave can be seen and felt before it's absorbed by the rest of the ship's mass.
This is the part where he ought to turn around and try to find a way back onto his ship, but no. He's going to keep hacking away at this hull until the barrier comes back on, and then he'll get someone to beam him back aboard.
Battle makes his blood sing in a way that only people like Thor understand.]

While he's leery of hurting the potential consciousness inside, he also recognizes it as a unique opportunity, and knows they must awaken it somehow. Perhaps this can be the equivalent of slapping it awake. At the very least, he hopes to observe the rate at which the Marsiva repairs itself. At most, perhaps it can help give some insight into the ship's inner workings or keep the shield down....]

Keith - Huntress

They were going to pay.]
Captain Looma! Commander Hux! Targets to lock onto?
[He had called Bucky to help pilot the ship but had no idea if he was there yet or not. Either way, he was at his station and getting every weapon they had on line.
This was something he was glad he knew how to do, he thought, as he aimed first where another ship was, and fired.]

He stood on the bridge surveying the scene before him making sure everyone on track of where they should be. For once he felt like himself as he slipped into his familiar role.]
Take down as much of Marvissa you can! We're going to do as much damage possible with this small window of opportunity given!
[Hux commanded as he proceeded to watch the battle play out before him.]
no subject
He can see the engines which everyone else is firing at. He brings everything online and aims as best he can. From there it's a matter of firing, which he does.
Absolutely everything they have.]
Hopefully after this we don't have some sort of war...
no subject
He stands in front of the giant bridge window of the Blue Fish so he can have full view of the situation. He holds his arms out to his sides, fingers curled loosely about his palms. Purple lightning crackles wildly about them. His eyes burn so brightly they turn white instead of gold.
And then it happens. A ship-sized ball of arcane energy forms beside the Marsiva, wreathed in sparks and giving off great bolts of lightning. It's nowhere near the ships and in no danger of actually hurting one of them. However, it seems to be sucking in nearby debris. Belth pulls his hands back and then thrusts them forward, and this sends the arcane orb slamming into the side of the mother ship.
There's no discernible difference, not at first, but then the arcane lightning spreads across the side of the ship like the impact of a meteor. If nothing else, it's a good light show. And Belthazar is sure, absolutely sure, that it connected.
The spell fizzles out. The glow leaves his eyes and he collapses onto his knees, breathing heavily.]
