Carl Grimes
[ Throughout various parts of the day, Carl can be found in the kitchen, foraging for food. During the day, he may have a visitor or two in the form of his colorful pet lizards. Maybe he's reading a book at the table with a glass of orange drink next to him. Maybe you're wandering into the kitchen for a midnight snack and he's there, too. However it is, he'll look at whoever is in his space. ]
Hey.
B;; Hallways
[ Since everyone is back on their own ships and the Red Fish is down to one engineer again, he has to make sure the ship is in proper working condition and that nothing has changed. After investigating the engine room, he can be found checking appliances in the kitchen, or torso-first into an open panel in the wall, checking on previous repairs. Come give him a hand or startle him. Whatever, man. ]
C;; Wildcard
[ Throw a scenario Carl's way! ]

He's always been notoriously silent when he moves - people have complained back home - so he tries to walk a little more heavy as he approaches.]
Everything okay?
no subject
So far, yeah. I just wanted to make sure since we were gone for so long. I'm not..actually sure how many changes Flug made, either.
no subject
[He'd spoken to Flug a few times, almost never about the ship itself.]

Well - said someone else has a glass of something to drink, so it seems reasonable to ask,] Hey - do you know if there's coffee?
no subject
Yeah, there's a coffee pot somewhere in here, and there are coffee grounds in the food dispenser.
[ He's quiet for a beat or two. ]
You're new, right? [ Has anyone explained the face twin thing to him yet? Is it too soon? He already kind of broke it to the other Bucky the wrong way. ]
no subject
Thank God, [he murmurs, and sets to hunting around for said coffee pot and grounds.]
I am. [And he has at least had the face twin thing explained, because the next thing he says is,] I'm not the only one of me, I hear, which is weird as shit but so is everything else, I guess. You can call me Barnes. Or Bucky, whichever you want.
How about you?

He heads over to the Red Fish and tries Carl's room first, but with no luck, he heads for the kitchen next, figuring it's a safe bet. ]
Got anything good?
no subject
I think I've got some leftover jerky? Or I could throw together something if you trust me.
[ Working at the restaurant has at least taught him a few things by osmosis. Even though Taako has refused to let him help, he's a quick learner. ]
no subject
Should I?
[ just kidding, of course he trusts Carl. Also, they've both got iron stomachs. How bad could it be? ]

It'd also given him more time to think than he'd ever wanted, and he was homesick. Something about that struck him as pretty bent, really, homesick for a world that was falling to the monsters, but...that wasn't what he missed, and what he did miss wasn't around. And so, he threw himself into what he normally did whenever his own emotions were confusing: checking on his people.
Carl wasn't hard to find, either, as he made his way through the...atmospheric halls of the Red Fish. He smiles when he sees him.]
Hey.

[He's not subtle, but at this point, it's become something of a joke between the two.]
How are you, Carl?

Regardless, he'll do the best he can with it. They'd lost some crew during the Calibrations, but gained a couple new faces. It was still a bare-bones operation. Fortunately, the ship doesn't require much input to keep going.
So he dedicates some time to thoroughly exploring the ship and taking notes on what does what, what works, and what could be improved upon. And if someone with more knowledge about a certain function wants to share what they know or what they want, he'll listen.
Other than that, he can be found on the bridge or in the armory, taking stock of what they have available. He doesn't expect their attack on the Marsiva to go unpunished.]
no subject
(Okay, they're not, but he's almost one-fricking-hundred, so he can have his little moments, all right.)
Which is why he maybe seems at least a little skeptical when he finally happens upon the armory and the person poking through it.]
Hey, [he says, from the doorway.] Is this open for anyone?
no subject
He looks over with a nod.]
Yeah. There should be enough for everyone.
[Which wasn't saying much, seeing as there were only four people on this ship.]
no subject
Bucky does snort softly at that, but he takes a step inside, in that case.] I think we'll manage.

Of course, it doesn't add a whole lot to his very small stash of belongings - in fact, he'd like to keep all that confetti out of his room - and he figures maybe adding a mental map of the place isn't a bad plan, before he goes calling for Steve.
Before he starts trying to figure out the mess he left with his Steve - shit, there are two Steves, and two Buckys, and isn't that just a riot - right before the end of Calibrations.
Either way, he can be found wandering the ship, poking into every nook and cranny he can poke into, a slight frown on his face as he commits each twist and turn and room and panel to memory. He's certainly not unfriendly, and maybe he'd even appreciate someone pointing out that there's still a few pieces of confetti in his hair.]
