So, this planet seems interesting. Does anyone want to go exploring? Maybe just get out into something a little more open than the ships? Personally, it's been way too long since I've smelled pine.
(OOC: If you'd like to do anything specific, like meet and greets or just hanging out, feel free to post a starter, or drop me a line on plurk (
vikael) if you want to hash out details. Individual starters for things we're already discussed below!)

[He scoffs, self-conscious.]
I've...always liked collecting things, like when we'd go to a new place. Memories are important. Items help to solidify them.
audio
Okay, I think I like you. [This is what normal human interaction looks like, right?] I'll pick you up on your ship in about an hour?
audio
...thanks? I think? Uh...yeah. That works.
audio
Great. See you then.
[And hour passes. Beep. Beep. Your shuttle has arrived, sir. It's in the cargo bay of his ship. She leans through the door to look for him. And when I say she leans through the door I mean literally through the unopened door so that only hear head and shoulders are visible. The rest of her is still very much in the ship. In the ship.] Ready?
action
In all the time he's known her, he didn't know she had abilities, and his brain was still adjusting to not assuming otherwise of people.
So, he, uh, blinks for a moment before nodding.]
Uh...yeah. Yeah, I'm ready.

[And he nods as if to drive that point home as he heads over.]
I think you'll have to open the door for me, though. I'm not that flexible. [And he adds, as a bit of levity.] I guess I should stretch more.

It would be bad if only your organs did that. I won't do it without your consent. Unless it's to save your life or something, but hopefully we won't run into any of that.
action
If you do it to save my life, I think I can forgive you. [And that smile says he's trying to make light of the situation instead of make everything worse.]

Re: action
[He shakes his head.]
"Coming back to life" suggests something a lot more like resurrection and less like the ravenous herds we have. That's not....they're not alive.
action
[She nods.] That probably wasn't the best way to say it. [She imagines it would be harder to kill them if you thought of them as alive. Well, she doesn't really have to imagine it. She was there on the space station. Granted, she was an assassin for a period of her life. Still, it's not justification only. There was no sign of consciousness from them aside from their hunger. Not even so much as true malice as they killed anyone they were able to.]
Did you ever talk to the others like we discussed? [Do they have to be worried about being contagious here? Is it already too late?]
action
[He nods.] I did, yeah. And...I know how it started. I'm looking for someone who might be able to determine whether or not it spread.
action
[She looks at him curiously. So vague on the details, sir. Maybe she should leave it at that.] Was it someone from your world who died then? [But she doesn't.]
Anyone with a lab augment could probably help. I don't know if any of them are also doctors or scientists back home. Probably a few.
action
Yeah. Someone who thought he was helping by trying to isolate himself. He...meant well.
