This planet is... interesting. [Really, he's looking a little uncomfortable at the sight of the more rustic homes. He almost prefers being on the ship, although he'll constantly miss his little house he'd had before joining the fleet.]

I'm not sure I'll be down here often but I did hear that there is hunting. I used to hunt back in England with my aunt but it's been a couple years. I wouldn't mind seeing how I can match up against the 'monsters' here.

[Also, he could use the money. Boy doesn't like being broke.]

I have to admit. I don't understand the appeal of hunting.

It's good sport. And my servants would make use of whatever I hunted in England, I'm sure the people here could use whatever is hunted besides those so-called monsters.

[He doesn't quite buy it yet.]

It's exhilarating. Pitting yourself against an animals instincts, using all of your knowledge and skill to find your quarry. Besides that, it's better than simply letting wild beasts do as they like on your land.

Then track the animals, but you don't need to kill them! And there are other way to stop animals then just killing them. You chase them away or change things.

That's an awfully idealized view. Hunting is natural. Animals will kill each other regardless of whether or not we hunt them. However much you chase a wild animal away, whatever drew them to the area to begin with will just draw them in again.

Doesn't mean that you have to. And if that's true then change what drew them to the area. Or change yourself to be able to co-exist.

What right do we have to make the people here change their lives? We're no lords of theirs. Hunting is natural, like it or not. Even they partake of it, whether for hobby or survival.

You're more than welcome to. I enjoy my hobbies, and I find that outside of England, very few are willing to listen to someone who they consider a child.

[Which is a half truth. He's very good at hunting now that he's a werewolf. He simply doesn't prefer it. That part is very much the dandy in him.]

Not at all. I've been offered company, to keep me safe. And I've been more or less scolded for my choice of hobbies.

Based on your maturity and intelligence, I would say that you are capable of caring for yourself as well as capable of deciding what you enjoy.

I would like to think that I am. Until a year ago, I held the title of Earl Phantomhive. And I would hunt with my aunt from time to time. Not many can hold their own against her.

[Well it's entirely too impolite to ask about why he no longer has the title. So he will just note that and not ask.]

Having such a title at such a young age would requite a great deal of maturity. I believe that if you are able to handle such a great deal of importance one can hope you could know how to decide if a hunt is too much for you.

Was that a hobby? If you're off hunting, I'm not sure of the appeal of hunting after animals. That seems too cruel, even for sport.

Why not try to take a picture of them instead? That's a more peaceful way if you need money.

I'm not one for photography. Besides, hunting ensures there's less of a threatening animal population for the people here to deal with while also earning a bit of extra money. It serves them and myself.

Yes, but still as a sport, there's no reason to take a life. I want you to think about that.

Anyway, at your age, I worry for you to be chasing after monsters in the wild. Do you have anyone to chaperone you? Don't go alone by yourself.

If you still insist, then I'll go with you and make sure you're safe.
