The SS Bloodsport

[Of course she's back on the Bloodsport, since that's where Kaname is. The fact that Messer, Pavel and Prompto are there help but she knows that she'd be back as soon as she returned to the Fleet. However, she's got a different augment this time and it feels odd to know that her job is now something she's not really comfortable with.

However, the closeness to those she likes does make it easier for her to find her footing again. Without bravado.

She spends a great deal of her time on the ship in the common areas, and if her unique hair didn't give her away, the carrying of her voice would. Sometimes, it goes before her as she moves around freely to the shuttle, her room, the lab, and the kitchens.]

[On the day of the 22nd, after some finagling, Mikumo finally makes an announcement to the rest of the people of the Fleet. She's obviously at the Melting Pot. Taako can be seen in the background at the bar, but Lup is nowhere to be found.]

[She cuts off the feed, but she can be found at the restaurant for a bit, sometimes even serving customers that come in to eat.]

[Now that they've reached a civilized world again, and not just those crazy space stations, Mikumo is determined to use what credits she's earned for clothes! Sure, she got what Mirage was wearing back and she's added a few more pieces to her wardrobe. Plus, you know, she's got her holo outfit. Besides, she has a promise to keep to a certain pilot.

She doesn't spend her entire time shopping. That's just silly. No, the parks and things are wonderfully inventive in these pretty, underground cities. She loves the look of it, but when she's not in the cities, she's exploring the surface of the planet.

Bloodsport

[Aaron isn't a huge fan of the cramped spaces of the ship, but he does tinker with things he's found in his travels in his room, or in the common room when it's bigger than can be comfortably done in his quarters.

which is actually what he's doing now. What he's playing around with is actually a little puzzle box he picked up on the frontier planet, but he looks up at the sound of Mikumo's voice, because it's not one he's heard before, and he makes it a point to be familiar with his crewmates.

He smiles when she walks in, amicable, and in greeting.]

Oh, hello. [And he stands, you know, because that's polite.] I don't think we've met. I'm Aaron.

[And he extends a hand for shake as well.] Are you visiting or a new crewmember?

[She's seen him around the ship a bit, but she's not really the friendliest of Walküre. Of course, she's plenty present when she wants to be.

But, wow is he super cheerful or what? Sort of like Freyja on steroids. She's almost ready to check him for a rune and ask him if he can sing counterpoint to her.]

No, I don't think we did. [She takes Aaron's hand and gives him a brief smile.] I'm a new and old crewmember. Mikumo Guynemer, Kaname and Messer are friends from home and I've decided to join them again.

[He nods.] They're good people. Welcome aboard. [He pauses for a moment, thoughtful.] Does that mean you were in the Fleet before? Wait...of course it does. [He shakes his head.] I mean did you leave the Fleet or just the ship?

Of course I was.

[But, you know, she's not cocky about it. In fact, she sounds rather amused.]

I left entirely, so it seems. Although, to be honest, I went from being here on the Bloodsport to appearing back on the Red Fish in the blink of an eye. Six months had passed here.

...but no time passed...wherever it was you were? Maybe...you were in a coma.

[That...did happen sometimes.]

Bah. [Manji swipes a hand in front of his face.] I'm not that interested in entertainment. More I just want to know how loud you plan to be.

No? Then why... [And then he makes that comment.

She leans into the screen and smiles mischievously.]

How loud do you want me to be?

I would prefer silence while I'm trying to eat. I'm not interested in a bunch of screeching while I'm trying to digest. [He misses the innuendos that are being said. Even his own.]

[Fun. Threatened with fun. Mirage is still getting over that idea because hey, she knows how to have fun, alright?

She also knows she needs clothing. Desperately. It's been at least two months now and all she wants are things she can comfortably wear, thank you.]

At the comment, Mikumo turns to stare at her companion before rolling her red eyes.]

I said that I would take you out. Not that I would stay with you the entire time. This isn't a mission and no one's safety is riding on this.'

[Not that that matters to her because she's ditched the pilot more than once during important missions so that she can do her own thing.]

[It's nice, having Mikumo on the Bloodsport. Pavel hasn't had this many friends on his home ship since... well, ever if he's allowed to count Messer as a friend.

On this particular day, Pavel is walking his cat--"walking" meaning "carrying said cat after she, as usual, refused to walk on a leash" in this context--when he hears Mikumo in the kitchen. He can't very well not go say hello, can he?

He enters the kitchen with his harnessed and leashed cat in his arms. The cat looks considerably less pleased to see Mikumo than Pavel does.]

[Mikumo cuts off mid-note to turn at the sound of Pavel behind her. And her smile goes from being bright to confused in about two seconds as she spots the cat.]

That is the unhappiest creature I've seen on the Fleet. Aside from Messer when he couldn't transfer to the Bloodsport. Is this your infamous cat?

Only in as much as you've spoken about her but this is the first I've seen her. I never took you up on the offer to show me around the Tourist.

[Mikumo doesn't reach out to pet the cat. Something tells her that should she do, she'll have to make use of her augment to repair herself. She'll hunt down Q-lulu for some squishy mercat love later.]

I'd offer her some milk, but it's awful and I won't subject any creature to what the Atroma think is acceptable. I haven't purchased any on the planet yet.

Oh. [That's a little disappointing. He thought his child was famous!] Unfortunately, these are not ideal conditions for introductions. She is usually friendly, but she doesn't like to be on a leash and I would rather not let her wander the ship freely.

[Pavel might be overestimating Sasha's standard levels of friendliness. He's optimistic like that.]

[Rose is not one to thrive underground, and she also spends a fair amount of time on this planet exploring the above ground. The monsters are dangerous, sure, but not anywhere as dangerous as what she's faced back home.]

[As far as she's concerned, she's one of the few foolish enough to venture out here on her own, which is why she's fairly surprised when she sees a familiar face.]

It's dangerous to go out here alone, you know.

[Even spending a good deal of time on the Elysion as it travels between planets of the Globular system, Mikumo finds that time under the sun and moon sometimes is just what she needs to recharge.

Dangers don't scare her.

At the sound of another's voice, the idol turns and smiles briefly at the other woman before she goes back to letting the sun wash over her.]

[It's not a place she's spent much time, but the broadcast has her attention regardless. Her attention is more on the new planet than anything, but well. The Melting Pot isn't going to go away anytime soon, as far as she can see it. So even if it's not now, perhaps sometime she'll visit.]

Yes, of course. My best friend and I are idols back home and we're going to be giving some performances at the Melting Pot to help liven the place up a bit.
