The SS Bloodsport

[Of course she's back on the Bloodsport, since that's where Kaname is. The fact that Messer, Pavel and Prompto are there help but she knows that she'd be back as soon as she returned to the Fleet. However, she's got a different augment this time and it feels odd to know that her job is now something she's not really comfortable with.

She spends a great deal of her time on the ship in the common areas, and if her unique hair didn't give her away, the carrying of her voice would. Sometimes, it goes before her as she moves around freely to the shuttle, her room, the lab, and the kitchens.]

[On the day of the 22nd, after some finagling, Mikumo finally makes an announcement to the rest of the people of the Fleet. She's obviously at the Melting Pot. Taako can be seen in the background at the bar, but Lup is nowhere to be found.]

[Now that they've reached a civilized world again, and not just those crazy space stations, Mikumo is determined to use what credits she's earned for clothes! Sure, she got what Mirage was wearing back and she's added a few more pieces to her wardrobe. Plus, you know, she's got her holo outfit. Besides, she has a promise to keep to a certain pilot.

She doesn't spend her entire time shopping. That's just silly. No, the parks and things are wonderfully inventive in these pretty, underground cities. She loves the look of it, but when she's not in the cities, she's exploring the surface of the planet.

And we've talked about your attitude. Your intentions don't always come across in your word choices, Mirage. Besides, you're not a security officer and this is a relatively kind people.

My grandmother was a Zentradi. Her generation didn't have family like that.

[... Oh. She hadn't thought of that. For a moment Mirage looks thoughtful, considering the whole backlog of family she has no clue about... and then she rouses herself from it, blinking a moment at Mikumo before she huffs out an amused breath.]

Well, it's good to see that Mikumo's words are actually making a difference with the pilot and the idol relaxes herself, taking in the sights.]

So, aside from covering everything, have you figured out what sort of clothes you're interested in?

Easy to move in. No skirts if it can be helped.

[She sounds assured in all of that.]

You know, not all skirts are bad.

[However, it's what Mirage is going to wear, not Mikumo.

And as they move into the major shopping district of the capital city, the idol starts to look for appropriate clothing shops. After a few minutes, she spots store that appears to be selling women's clothes. Without saying anything, Mikumo walks over to check out the racks near the entrance.]

These colors aren't all that flashy and the fabric is relatively good. Perhaps we should head inside?

[nomirage]

They're not in the right situations.

[But for every day wear? No thanks. She might not be involved in much fighting or actual piloting here but if it did crop up, she wanted to be prepared in her own way.

Mirage follows, moving her own gaze over another rack. All the clothing so far seems sensible enough. She looks back to Mikumo with a light smile and nods.]

[Well, Mirage can be all silly and hate on skirts, Mikumo will always love them. Especially since she spends a great deal of time wearing them, while in battle.

She stops at a display of jackets, singling out one in particular.]

I like this one, but I don't know if you have what it takes to pull it off.

[She pulls on one near it.]

[Well, she won't disagree with Mikumo's fashion sense. Hell, she looks like she's paying attention even as she nods between one jacket and the other.

She takes the second, looking it over. ... She rather likes the butterflies really.]

The first one would suit you better, I think.

[It's showy but not in a bad way. It's just that she feels Mikumo can get away with that look better than she can.

There's another jacket nearby where the second one was that she looks over appreciatively too.]

This one seems practical.

Maybe. I think Kaname could pull it off too. And her birthday is coming up...

[Mikumo takes the jacket, but continues to look around. When Mirage talks about practical, she stomps over to see what it is.]

Who cares about practical? It's such a boring color. Isn't there one in a blue? Or a red? Something dynamic.

[Hey, she likes them, okay. Calm down, girl.]

Red or blue don't go with everything though.

[See, Mirage knows about color coordination!]

[She's not even being pushy about it. Yet.]

Then find something in black that we can dress down and up. I mean, white also goes with everything, but it stains too easily. Black, at least, can hide a multitude of sins.

[At that Mirage digs through the rack a bit to pull out your basic black slacks.]

[Mikumo nods in approval and pulls out a few different colored button down shirts.]

If you pair those slacks with these shirts and the jacket, you can dress it up with heels or down with boots and you will fit in anywhere. It's a universal look that can be both sexy and allow you to be modest.

[Oooh. Mirage looks over the button down shirts thoughtfully, then gives Mikumo a nod. There's a real sense of her actually paying attention here.]

For the same reason as the slacks, I take it? Something like that definitely could be dressed up or down as needed anyhow.

Of course. You never know what will happen and it's best to have something for every occasion. And if you don't want to do heels, since I don't think those are to your taste, we'll have to find you some really cute flats.

Plus, with the way that fashion changes from planet to planet, it's never a bad thing to check and see if there's something you can add into your wardrobe everywhere.

Oh, I hadn't thought about the planets. Do the styles change quite a bit then?

Mirage, you saw how different the fashion was from one planet to another in our own system. Of course the fashion is different here when we move around.

You missed the system with the obsession for their sports team. Clothes, food, weapons, and even necessities were done with the colors and mascots of each team. We were all wrapped up into it.

[She smiles wickedly for a moment.]
