My friends, one of the many things I've very much enjoyed while on the Fleet is the ability to experience enjoyable things I never would have had had the opportunity to hear about back on Thedas. A 'water park' seems to be one of those. I am interested in seeing what the fuss is about... Especially if I can convince Kolivan to experience it with me. [Oh, he will. That is going to happen.] Meeting him as been other one of those things, after all, and combining them could be fun.

My concern is this. [He lifts his left hand, showing off the silver cybernetic prosthetic.] When it was installed I was reassured it's waterproof and I've had no issues with it in the shower and such, but somehow this seems different.

Does anyone have experience with these sorts of limbs? Can you check that it will still function properly even if I take it down a 'water slide'? [He seems to enjoy saying 'water slide' even though he can't fully conceptualize what it is.]

[Waterpark (for Kolivan)]

[Just as he had suggested on the network, he is able to convince Kolivan to come with him to check out the water park. Now they are both in bathing suits and t-shirts (very out of place for both of them, honestly) and side by side as Cyril considers the slides.

He has been reassured that his arm is waterproof, but now that he's here, he realizes that he hadn't considered his khol.]

Oh... I just realized this is going to make my eyes run.

[He was excited about the new experience and hadn't fully thought ahead. Don't judge him.]

Good luck. You seem to be one of the first that's been able to get him to do half of what you've put him through.

Is that a good thing?

Probably. I know a few people who think it's a good idea to get him to lighten up.

I was considering throwing a party for that very reason.

Well, that and I thought it was about time someone celebrate the Blades.

[Blink. Oh, look... Keith was surprised. A party? For the Blades?]

I... I don't know. We're not really the partying types.

Did you see Kolivan's memories during calibrations?

[Keith gave Cyrill a thoughtful look.]

Yeah...?

As did I. And one of them was of people celebrating a victory the Blades had a hand in, and yet they weren't allowed to partake in the party because they are Galra.

I've heard a lot about the Empire, so I understand why any Galra is viewed with suspicion in your universe, and even Kolivan was accepting of that fact when we spoke about it. But I still feel as if... [He isn't sure how to explain this at first, and he takes a moment to consider his wording.]

You deserve to be celebrated.

[Keith sighed.]

I remember that. It was before a lot of people knew outside of Team Voltron and the Blades that I'm half Galra. I don't look like I am.

But, I get it. I get why they accepted it. When I found out, and Allura stopped talking to me, I didn't blame her for it. I didn't even fight back. The Galra destroyed her entire world, they took everything from her, and I wasn't surprised at all that she didn't want to talk to me anymore. I mean, yeah... it hurt. But I didn't argue with her about it. I didn't feel like I had the right to.

I am so sorry you had to experience that.

She was eventually able to support you, wasn't she? [The little he knows about the princess makes it seem like she would, but he might be wrong.]

[Keith nodded.]

Yeah. And people have come around now to supporting the Blades, too. It wasn't easy, but we're working to overcome it.

[There was also the issue of the "purity" among the pureblood Galra... the hatred for half-breeds... but Keith wasn't going to bring that up right now. This was about Kolivan, and Kolivan was full Galra. He didn't have to worry about that problem like Keith did.]

And I would like to support you too, as much as I can while we're all here.

[Keith nodded.]

Kolivan probably appreciates it, too... he's just not very likely to really come out and say it.

Probably.

[Keith shrugged a little. Kolivan was one of the most stoic people he had ever met. And he had met Ulaz and Thace... they weren't exactly much better.]

He isn't. He shows it in other ways though.

I'm starting to figure those ways out.

[Keith nodded, giving Cyril a small smile.]

Yeah. He has his moments.

[Keith wouldn't openly say much more than that. He knew enough about Kolivan to keep certain things to himself, but he did remember seeing him in his hospital room when he woke up back home. Kolivan had looked... pleased? Proud? But it wasn't angry or disappointed for once.]

If he gives you those moments they are something to cherish.

Yeah. I guess they would be.

[Exactly, and Cyril plans on cherishing them all.]

So, this may seem a little of an unusual question...

But is there such thing as Galra cuisine?

Cuisine? Probably. My mom or Ulaz might be the better ones to ask, though. I didn't grow up with other Galra.

A lot of the spacefaring races we know, though, usually have some sort of food goo type of thing because it works well in outerspace. I wouldn't consider that cuisine, though. Like... not at all. [Keith shook his head.] It's actually kind of gross.

Is it like the nutrient paste we get with the Fleet?

Yeah, it's pretty similar, actually. Just... less flavor options... like, each race has their own version, and they have one version each, or something. Though, Hunk figured out that you can freeze it into ice pops once. I didn't see him do it, but he told me about it.

[Keith had kind of missed the whole "fun sentry" thing when Team Voltron had visited Lotor after he stepped up as Emperor. He'd been off chasing quintessence with his mom on a Blade mission.]

Hunk is one of the paladins is that right?

Yeah. He's the Paladin of the Yellow Lion.

He was here for a while... back before you were here, I think? Maybe. But, he's a good guy.

[Hunk would always have a friend in Keith. The big guy had been one of the first of the three Garrison cadets on Team Voltron to show him acceptance and be friendly to him, and Keith admired the fact that Hunk was always willing to face his fears the way he did. Not to mention the fact that he was also wicked smart, right up there with Pidge, and an amazing judge of character when it came to others... Keith knew he could count on Hunk for a lot.]

Then I'm sorry I missed the chance to meet him. At least he's back home?

[Keith nodded.]

Yeah. It's probably better off for him that way. Probably a lot less anxiety.

[He chuckled as he said that, though... like it was a little joke between him and Hunk or his team.]
