Who: Keith, Everyone
Broadcast: Open
Action: Huntress, Iskaulit, Planet
When: April Catch-All?
=====
[ video - backdated to shortly after Mikleo disappeared ]
[Keith showed up on the feed, looking mildly annoyed and somewhat disappointed... not the usual face of someone who was about to make the following announcement, which, for most, would likely be more bittersweet.]
Drift Fleet... I wanted to let you all know that Mikleo has left the Fleet. That means, the Huntress has a new captain. Atroma apparently decided that should be me. [Why does this keep happening?] That's all.
[He switched the feed so it was private to Lance.]
Looks like I need a First Mate. You up for it?
[Just like back home, right?]
=====
[ action - huntress/iskaulit - before arrival in system or while in system, your choice ]
[So, Keith could now be found trying to familiarize himself with everything else on the Huntress in an attempt to at least be a decent Captain. Thankfully, this was a lot less pressure than being the leader of Team Voltron. Still, it was a responsibility, and one that had once again somehow dropped in his lap, but he was going to take it seriously all the same.
If this had happened before his time in the abyss, he might have tried to find someone else to do it. However, he was willing to accept his fate.
When not doing that, he could be found doing his usual routine around the Iskaulit... obstacle course, gym, getting food... The Lion's Den felt empty lately, and, since he and Lance were on the same ship and the Blades had ended up picking a different spot for themselves, it seemed silly now. He kept it anyway... just in case anyone came back.]
=====
[ action - planetside catch-all ]
[Keith was definitely taking on odd jobs here and there to fetch things from the surface or go hunting. Exploring was a thing, too. Glowy forest? Cool. Of course, shopping because... why not? And then there was the water park and the VR. Lance did manage to get Keith to the water park. Not that he hated it, but he didn't really like crowds. However, it wasn't all terrible. He still had fun. And there was, of course, the VR stuff. That he liked a lot. Care for a game?]

Keith gave the newcomer a quick nod and kept going. He was used to people wanting to hide their identities, thanks to the Blades. He finished the circuit around that he was on, and then waited, as he had already been half-way through when this other person started. He watched as he waited.]
no subject
My apologies. I thought you wouldn't mind if I joined you. I promise not to get in the way.
no subject
No. It's fine. [He gave the newcomer a small smile.] I don't mind. I just wanted to say hi.
He wiped at his face with the hem of his shirt really quick, revealing a very toned stomach for that split second.]
You're good.
no subject
[He holds his gloved hand out to shake.]
Would you object to continuing with me? or perhaps we could spar or race? Something to make it more interesting? The same work out every day does get a bit dull after a while.
no subject
[He returned the handshake easily enough, wearing fingerless gloves himself. He wasn't in his Paladin armor at the moment, just regular workout clothes.]
Not at all. I'm up for a race.
[Robin had just piqued Keith's competitive nature. He smirked at the idea.]

How about we say, three laps around the course?
[Tim gets into position]
no subject
Sounds good to me.
[He got into position as well.]
You want to count us down?
no subject
[Tim will take off. He's going to have a lot of fun going over the course and keeping pace with Keith. He will add a little theatrics to his flips just like Dick would even if it means he falls behind a little. He doesn't seem worried about falling behind or winning on the first lap]

Still... even without the flair, Keith was fast and agile. He didn't operate on brute strength like most of the fighters he found himself against back home. He used dodging and quick attacks, using his smaller stature to his advantage against them. Though, at about six feet tall, he wasn't exactly short for an Earthling. He was just short for a Galra.
That said, he didn't lose sight of Robin in his peripheral. Even if the other was falling back a bit, Keith had matured enough to know that he couldn't slack off. There was always that come from behind win to think of, and he knew better than to count Robin out.]
no subject
When they hit the halfway point of the race, Tim puts in a burst of speed and overtakes Keith taking the lead. There's no more theatrics, he just puts on the speed and pushes past. He wants to see what Keith does in retaliation]
no subject
He also felt mildly vindicated that his instincts about Robin had been right.
He pushed himself to keep up, looking for an opening to overtake him as soon as he could. He was competitive, and, even if he ended up not winning, Keith wasn't going to let it be easy on Robin to stay ahead.]

[Tim and Keith will trade who is in first place a couple more times over the next lap. Both of them now pushing the other to really concentrate on getting through the course as fast as possible. Unfortunately for Keith, the last obstacle requires a straight run across a balance beam which Tim doesn't even slow down for and he is able to cross the finish line barely a second before Keith does.
Tim chuckles and crumples to the ground to lie down and stare at the ceiling. A big smile on his face as he pants for breath]
That- that was close, I didn't think I was going to make that.
no subject
[Keith slowed to a stop after crossing the line, leaning on his knees for a second to catch his breath before pacing a bit to cool down slowly.]
Good run, though.
[He was tired and winded, but it felt good.]
Thanks.
no subject
If you want to join me for sparring or just for another race I'd be happy to do that all again.
[Tim goes to retrieve a drink before he plans to continue with his work out, whether it's more of the same or something else depending on Keith's response]
no subject
I'm up for either.
Were you planning on a different layout for the course? We could try that.
no subject
[Tim will then set out an obstacle course that might not surprise Keith with the way Tim ran the last one. It seems to concentrate a good deal on never having your feet touch the ground and if definitely has a certain 'ninja warrior' tv show vibe to it]
It's almost a work out in itself to set these things up, to be honest, but I've set it up with my usual kind obstacles in mind since a lot of my job is done over the rooftops.
no subject
He watched, chuckling a bit at the comment about it being a work out to set up.]
That looks pretty cool, actually. Most of my experience is on ground level, so this should be a good challenge.
[Keith was definitely not one to back down from a challenge.]
