[Keith showed up on the feed, looking mildly annoyed and somewhat disappointed... not the usual face of someone who was about to make the following announcement, which, for most, would likely be more bittersweet.]

Drift Fleet... I wanted to let you all know that Mikleo has left the Fleet. That means, the Huntress has a new captain. Atroma apparently decided that should be me. [Why does this keep happening?] That's all.

[He switched the feed so it was private to Lance.]

Looks like I need a First Mate. You up for it?

[Just like back home, right?]

[So, Keith could now be found trying to familiarize himself with everything else on the Huntress in an attempt to at least be a decent Captain. Thankfully, this was a lot less pressure than being the leader of Team Voltron. Still, it was a responsibility, and one that had once again somehow dropped in his lap, but he was going to take it seriously all the same.

If this had happened before his time in the abyss, he might have tried to find someone else to do it. However, he was willing to accept his fate.

When not doing that, he could be found doing his usual routine around the Iskaulit... obstacle course, gym, getting food... The Lion's Den felt empty lately, and, since he and Lance were on the same ship and the Blades had ended up picking a different spot for themselves, it seemed silly now. He kept it anyway... just in case anyone came back.]

[Keith was definitely taking on odd jobs here and there to fetch things from the surface or go hunting. Exploring was a thing, too. Glowy forest? Cool. Of course, shopping because... why not? And then there was the water park and the VR. Lance did manage to get Keith to the water park. Not that he hated it, but he didn't really like crowds. However, it wasn't all terrible. He still had fun. And there was, of course, the VR stuff. That he liked a lot. Care for a game?]

[The loss of Mikleo was...well, it hurt, on top of all the other losses. He'd been a crewmate and a friend for a very long time now, but as things stood, it was probably for the best, with Sorey gone and all. He could only pray that things worked for them back home in a quicker manner than Mikleo was implying.

And wow, yeah, he's 100% unsurprised that Keith got chosen to be the next captain. A long time ago, he would have been annoyed at this, once again excluded from an opportunity to lead, but now? Well. Keith was his leader, and that was fine.

He gives him a little smile.]

[ Guess who else is doing odd jobs on the surface? This guy! Eithan is up here collecting a bunch of a certain kind of flower, for whatever reason, and he's trying to dodge all the ridiculously huge bugs and animals in the process. He might not be some skilled survivalist type, but he knows how to not die in the face of extremes, at the very least. Even if some most of it is just sheer dumb luck. ... Let's just hope that keeps up.

He's covered in dirt and soot, and there's a ring of crackling fire spinning around his hand, but he looks at least a little bit pleased with himself. He spots Keith, and with a grin and a wave - of his other hand - calls out to him. ]

Yo. You're up here too?

[Keith gave a small wave in return.]

Figured it would be easy money.

What are you looking for? We could team up... maybe help each other out.

Hey, not a bad idea! [ Nod! ] I'd be up for that.

Well right now, I'm lookin' for these huge red flowers... [ He lets the fire around his fingers vanish before he pulls one out of his bag to show Keith. ] No idea what they're used for, but I'm pretty sure the reason they asked me to get 'em is 'cause there are these huge bugs that really like 'em. I've already had to kill a few. [ He makes a face. ]

What're you after right now?

[Keith reached into one of the pouches on his belt and pulled out a picture.]

It's uh... apparently some kind of vegetable? I don't know. But it tends to grow inside a thicket of some trees that are usually really heavy pollen producers this time of year.

planetside - SWIMMING

[ She remembers talking about all the things they could do as a family while he slept in his crib -- trips to the park, swimming, hiking. All the things she couldn't stay and do when the Galra showed back up for the Blue Lion. She's excited, however, when she was asked to join Lance and Keith to go swimming. An actual, normal family trip?

Count her in. Lance had helped her find a white swimsuit and black shawl to wear, though now that they were in the park? Other than swimming she has no idea. ]

Well, what do you two want to do first?

[Keith was still feeling awkward about the whole bathing suit thing. Lance putting his mom in something sexy just seemed wrong, even if she liked it and didn't care and wanted to wear it. He had bit back his rant, but it niggled at the back of his mind as they stood there looking around the park.]

Uh, well... [Keith hadn't been to many of these.] There's like slides and stuff... or the lazy river... or wave pool.

[Wait... did full Galra get sunburn? Did that even count when they were underground? Keith wasn't sure.]

[ She doesn't quite know that her outfit makes Keith uncomfortable -- let alone that it was considered sexy. If she had her way, she wouldn't be in anything but there were customs she was unsure of and....well. Her son. She wasn't sure how he'd take to that. ]

Well, the slides sound fun. I am not sure how I feel about a lazy river. [ Though she isn't sure what it is, either so that could be part of it. ]

[Tim had arrived a little later than normal at the Iskaulit's obstacle course. He may have fallen asleep in the library again and thrown his schedule off by hours but he's sure he can do catch up.

But he's not used to being here at this time and therefore not used to seeing the young man currently running his own set course. He stands and watches for a short while, before deciding there's nothing stopping him from joining in.

How Keith will react to seeing a domino masked individual also running his obstacle course he doesn't know but hopefully, it won't be hostile.]

Keith gave the newcomer a quick nod and kept going. He was used to people wanting to hide their identities, thanks to the Blades. He finished the circuit around that he was on, and then waited, as he had already been half-way through when this other person started. He watched as he waited.]

[Tim runs through the course like he's spent years doing it, there is a hard-won grace and speed to it but he will stop when he reaches Keith again]

[The city is too much. Too many people, too much noise, too bright and shiny. One hour in, and he's had enough. He hangs around long enough to finagle a job, and then he's booking it out of there, not paying attention as he knocks into someone. Sorry, Keith.]

[Oof... Keith blinked, glancing back at the sound of a familiar voice.]

Oh... hey. In a hurry?
