[He's been scoping the beach for his pals since they got here. It's familiar and completely alien at the same time, but not so jarring as seeing Taako wading into the sea like he... did... like eighty years ago or something. He doesn't even remember which cycle that was, but it-- it was something, and there was a surfboard--

-- yeah, there's a surfboard here too.

Magnus might not be the most perceptive person but this is just damn eerie.

Rather than jump out and shout his name in an attempt to scare Taako, however, he sneaks up with the explicit intention of dunking on him with one of two extremely colorful flower crowns he bought off one of the natives around here. It would've been great if he could make a 'you need to get lei'd' joke, but-- also, Taako and Lup are pretty and need pretty things so he's always keeping an eye out.

Except these are crowns and not necklaces. Something he realizes when the crown does not, in fact, fit over Taako's head and ears.]

[Magnus's rogue training, as new as it all is, apparently has paid off because Taako doesn't hear a thing as the fighter sneaks up on him. Could be because he's currently trying to pop his ears after getting some sea water in there, or could be because he just honestly doesn't expect Magnus to just up and drop something on his head. He jolts and whips around, hands flying up in alarm until his fingers brush flower instead of sand or something else.

Flowers?

The panic immediately drains and Taako tilts his head back, but can't exactly see much from this angle. Looks like they're orchids of some sort though.]

Forgot the whole elf ears thing, huh, bubelah?

[Because if it was meant to go around his neck, the long ears were definitely a hindrance.]
