Hello, everyone. My name is Quatre Raberba Winner. It is nice to meet you all.

I am sure that this has happened often, but I have some questions about this place if anyone would be so kind as to answer them.

Action - Huntress
[After a short time on the ship called the Marsiva, Quatre found himself here... on the ship called the Huntress with some surprising random fanfare.

So he sets out to explore the ship, see who else is there and what the ship is like. It was weird, he thought, that he had been assigned as a cook when he had so many other useful skills... Well, maybe he can put them to use anyway]

Action - Planetside
[This planet... this planet was beautiful. It was everything he had ever pictured planets to be. He takes to wandering the settlement enjoying the scenery.

But he can hear it, practically feel it in his space heart. The planet is trying to say something to him. To all of them. He's sure of it. As much as he loves the scenery, this part bothers him greatly. In the early morning, he stands, trying to figure out the planet is trying to say]

[The fanfare and confetti was Keith's first clue someone new had arrived. He stared for a moment at the young blond teenager standing on the bridge with a small bowl of chocolate pudding in his hands.]

Oh. Hey.

[This kid was what? A few years older than Pidge? Not that Keith was all that much older. He'd barely been 18 when they'd taken off in the Blue Lion. Who was he to judge? He smirked a little.]

Welcome to the Huntress.

[Well, the fanfare is a good way to let someone know that you are there. And it did indeed work, someone arriving while he was still brushing confetti from his hair, all while holding a bowl of... chocolate pudding? What an odd gift.

But he smiled at the young man who arrived]

Thank you very much. I have to say, none of this has been quite what I was expecting.

Not really. For any of us, really.

It's been pretty crazy.

I'm Keith.

[He held out his hand.]

[Quatre smiled when Keith said that]

Yes, I imagine no one was expecting this.

[He extends his hand to shake it]

Quatre Raberba Winner. It seems my information says I am a cook? I am sorry about that. I would have thought they’d have given me something I was better at.

Yeah. The augments don't always match your skills. I was lucky. They gave me pilot when I arrived.

[Keith chuckled a little.]

People sometimes change augments, though, so that could be something.

It's something I can look into. I can always try my hand at the mechanics if we have to. I am good with that even without an augment.

Even if its not what I am used to, I can take a look.

It's worth a try. These ships can be a little weird, and the augment definitely does help. I don't know how much success can be found if you don't have the right one, but I'll definitely take what we can get.

[Keith nodded.]

I appreciate the offer.

You're welcome. It's worth trying, at least. So how many people are on this ship?

[Also he's still holding this bowl of chocolate pudding. Such a strange thing to just suddenly appear]

We're pretty undermanned, actually. It's just me, you, and Lance. He's also augmented as a pilot.

When there isn't someone assigned, the spot gets automated, for the most part, which can be handy for a lot of things.

But, other stuff, it becomes something of a self-service situation, like the med lab or repairs and maintenance, and that can be awkward. Some repairs, though, are automated. The ship can fix major damage like hull breeches and collision damage on its own. [Thankfully.]

Oh, that is a very small ship.

[He tilted his head slightly when Keith was explaining about the automated things that the ship could do]

A self-healing ship... I have never heard of such a thing. That's very helpful. I wonder if that's something I'd be able to figure out back home.

If you have questions, I have answers. I can guarantee you won’t like them, however.

Just based on what I have heard so far... I would agree with you, but I should have the answers whether I like them or not. Especially if I going to have to deal with it.

If I may ask, how long have you been here?

It’s been about three or four moons since they brought me back. Before, I was here for the better part of the year.

It's better than covering my ears and pretending nothing bad could happen. That usually doesn't do anything.

Brought you back? So you have left and returned? That can happen?

[Rose shrugs. She understands his line of thinking, and could probably do better to mimic it herself.]

Yes, it can. There’s a lot that can happen here that isn’t easily explained. I’ve heard death here is temporary, for one.

Really? So people can come back from the dead? What other strange things can happen?

It's nice to meet you, Vash. That is very kind of you. So it is true then. This is supposedly part of some sort of entertainment?

Far as I can tell it is. Not that I've really met any fans in person yet. Although there is a stand where you can read fanmail sent to you by our fans.

Really? That's interesting. Both that you've never met any fans, but that they write to you.

It does all seem rather weird. The whole situation. Is this the first time they've done this or do we know?

No, apparently this is the twelfth cycle. If that is to be believed which I think it can be. We've met some of the contestants from past cycles before. Although usually only when things go wrong and our "lovely" hosts begin to lose control

Twelfth? They’ve done this twelve times? That’s... unbelievable and terrifying. So they have a history of things going wrong?

It seems like they might. If not a history then they've had things go wrong once before.

That does not bode well, I hate to admit. If they've done this before and they have repeated it. Do we know what happened before? So that way we can make sure it doesn't happen again.

No. I'm afraid we really don't have a lot of information about how the last fleet escaped.
