Hello! My name is O'danya, and I've come to realize that I've a talent that might be very useful to the people stranded here with not much option for clothing. Simple clothes or our jumpsuits may be fine for some, but for others it is only an insult to our true potential.

That is why I'm offering my services as a master weaver and leatherworker to create outfits for anyone who would like them. Of course, this will not be free, but if you are willing to provide your own materials, I'll be much more accommodating in price. [ That gets a grin. She won't scalp you guys... much... ] That said, leather itself is difficult to find out on stations like this, but I've still some circles left over from our visit to Mor — outfits including them will full price for the rarity of material.

It may be that way on your world, but there are multiple schools of magic on Azeroth, and they interact in a very specific way.

Umbral ice? Astral fire? Such terms are better left to druids, who look to nature for their source of magic.

So 'astral' fire is different from, say, a fireball?

Interesting. I would certainly love to see how your magic might interact with mine.

No, astral fire is a way of channeling aether. It is not magic in itself but the way you form it: powerful at the cost of depleting reserves. It is, however, triggered by the use of fire elemental magic, thus it was aptly named.

I am curious as well. [He's even willing to put aside the fact she's a cat for a moment.]

Aether? Is that like mana? It sounds like a very roundabout system to cast magic, all things considered.

Aether is magic. It is the force that we call upon and mold in order to create a desirable effect. Thaumaturges use the influence of the abyss to cast powerful destructive magicks, while arcanists use the the science of arcanism in order to form summoning pacts and create complex reactions. Conjurers gather from the essence of the elementals by their leave in order to heal and protect.

There are many ways to cast magic, but the manner in which you do is as important as what you are trying to cast.

This is all very different from what I am used to. [He makes a thoughtful noise.] Healing magic is a matter of faith and discipline. Warlocks are more focused on summoning things-- demons-- into the world. But... complex reactions? Yes, that sounds exactly like what our arcanists do.

Faith? [ That gets a bit of a guarded reaction. Magic by faith usually means via the influence of a primal and that is incredibly dangerous. ]

Ah, well... You say your serious practices are arcanism. Would you like to compare? Mine own specialty is what you might call a sub-set but the principles remain the same to what other arcanists my use.

Faith in the Light, usually. Adrasteius-- you may have met him-- is one such priest.

[He nods.]

An arcanist is really just a specialized mage, honestly. But I would like to compare later. Perhaps when I manage to find some materials.

What ship are you on?

As of yet, I've not had the pleasure. Although now it seems more prudent to keep an eye out for him.

My ship is the Caprine. There need not be any other reason to visit if you're interested in comparing techniques, either.

He is a blood elf, as I am. It will be fairly obvious first glance I think.

I will consider it. I am not feeling quite well enough to practice magic right now, but perhaps later.

Ah, someone with similar features. [ Seeing as they're not-quite-elezen, O'danya is pretty certain she would be able to pick them out of a crowd. Hard to miss those tall ears. ]
