[Outside of the new recreation area, Jennifer had been surprised to find a package with her name on it waiting for her. She felt like she hadn't done enough to catch the audience's attention, much less get gifts- thus she approached the package with caution and lingered, unsure of whether to open it or not.

She was remembering Beverly's banana-flavored coffee.

Finally, her own inner courtesy and desire to be gracious for a gift won over and she seized the package, finding a knife to help her cut it open, to find...]

...Beer, huh? Pretty hefty supply of it, too...

[IMMEDIATELY poking his head in]

Did someone say beer?

[Jennifer looked over her shoulder at Kaneis and nodded.]

Apparently someone out there likes me. Want to try some?

You mean a fan? Aw!

Sure! I'm always open to trying some new drinks.

Probably... [She laughed nervously.] I never would have thought I'd be interesting enough to get gifts. [She offered a bottle to Kaneis first before taking one for herself.] Cheers. [The beer ends up being a little disappointing- it's watery and doesn't have a very strong flavor.]

Hey, c'mon - I'm sure you're more than interesting!

[He takes a bottle and lifts in the cheer, before drinking- and frowning]

Aww, your fan needs better tastes in ales.

[Jennifer frowned at the beer, trying not to look disappointed- it wouldn't do to look a gift horse in the mouth, after all.]

I won't argue with that, honestly. Interesting must be in the eye of the beholder, then- I just do my job as best I can, but I know medical drama can be popular with an audience.

Yeah, and it helps that you're cute. [He shrugs] I'd watch you.

[Comforting Kaneis, comforting]

Oh! [Jennifer laughed, looking a little flustered at that.] Well, I guess that might be it, too, now that you put it like that. After all, here I spend less time with the sleep-deprived-doctor look. [Of course, Rodney had managed to find her plenty attractive even then.]
