[But today is a rare sight! He can be found in the new recreation area of the cargo bay! Checking out the new equipment! Since honestly? He has no clue what half this stuff is. He never bothered to use this stuff in Exsilium, and Tethe'alla's form of exercise is punching monsters in the face. He's pretty sure he's alone, so excuse him as he picks up one of the 100 pound weight wheels with one hand and examines it like he just picked up a frisbee with a weird logo.]
Huh....
[Maybe it's a weird dull chakram? But what's the use of those if you can't decapitate....]

he happened to be passing by when he hears Kaneis in the cargo bay, so he comes up behind him, peeking over his shoulder. ]
Hey! We got new stuff?
no subject
[He glances over his shoulder to see who it is and yep okay- just Lloyd]
Yeah. Upgrades kicked in.
no subject
[ with that, he properly looks around and... frowns. if Tethe'alla wasn't privy to this sort of exercise equipment, then consider Sylvarant sheltered. Lloyd follows Kaneis's example, picking up the 95 pound plate and scrutinizing at it before taking another look around. ]
...What is any of this?
no subject
[Not...exercise crap.]
Not sure. It kinda reminds me of chakrams, but they can't be easy to throw.

Cargo Bay
She was remembering Beverly's banana-flavored coffee.
Finally, her own inner courtesy and desire to be gracious for a gift won over and she seized the package, finding a knife to help her cut it open, to find...]
...Beer, huh? Pretty hefty supply of it, too...
no subject
Did someone say beer?
no subject
Apparently someone out there likes me. Want to try some?
no subject
Sure! I'm always open to trying some new drinks.

Uh. [Ok, that was unexpected enough his wings mantle and he just stands there in the confetti, blinking stupidly.] Jade, if that was you, not fucking cool.
[He takes a quick look around, still mystified. Sudden relocations through time are his thing; space, not so much.] Nice tacky tune. It's like an upbeat version of getting trapped on an elevator.
[Alternatively, once he's off the bridge, Davesprite can be found in the kitchen area, disgruntled and mumbling almost indecipherably about gross protein blocks.]
no subject
... I'd like to say you get used to it, but. It's still protein blocks at the end of the day.
no subject
Oh, uh, hey. [Said with a semi-awkward half-wave, like maybe he was just caught trying to figure out how this machine worked without breaking it by accident.]
These are some of the saddest and floppiest excuses I seen for a chicken yet. [He gives the "food" a prod with one finger. It jiggles.] The peanut butter's not looking much better.

There are some ways you can mix and combine stuff to make it more palatable taste-wise, but yeah... it's meant for sustenance over taste or beauty. It keeps on long space trips, which is the only good thing that can be said.

Hey. [...] I'm guessing this is either a huge under-reaction or standard premeditated reality TV procedure. Actually definitely betting on it being premeditated since I got dumb confetti.
[He gives another look around.]
Is there a mandatory time limit before standing here gets awkward or weird.
no subject
No idea.
But there's pudding there if you want it. [Points at the fancy pudding cups that are now on the dashboard of the comms station]

Uh... [ The wings catch her attention first, having her stare briefly in awe before actually greeting him properly. ] Hello! I... like your wings.
no subject
Oh, hey. Thanks. Even if opinions will probably change whenever I get around to molting, but it's cool. [All said with a hint of dry humor. He motions behind him to the glob dispensers.] You need me to move? [He's kind of in the way here.]
no subject
Umm... yes, please. [ She'd like something to get something to drink. ]

She's definitely not that thrilled about the weaponry that got brought on with her and her security augment. Or the fact that scrolling through the network, she still hadn't found or heard any sign of Harry.]
Guess I should probably better take stock of what's here.
[She'll be around her personnel office, through the kitchen, her bunk. Happily avoiding eye contact and trying to skip around actually - ugh - talking with anyone. But it's a small ship with a tight crew. Can't avoid everyone forever.]
Hallway!
[Which, as he walks down the hall in her direction, he notices that he's never seen her before. Huh. That's interesting. Was she a new crew member? He doesn't recall any shuttles docking right now to visit.]
[So. He should...probably...do a thing. a greeting thing. Except ugh - talking with people. That's the worse. She doesn't seem like the chatty type either. Still...he should do something]
[So as the distance closes between them he'll finally settle on an idea AND-]
[Give a nod of acknowledgement. Hi.]
no subject
But then again this isn't home and she still has shit luck. The footsteps stop close by and she looks up to .... someone. Whoever this is. But he looks about as talkative as she is.]
...
[Oh thank god, he didn't speak. She nods back. And goes right back to her weapons inventory.]
no subject
[When that much is clear he'll just keep on walking and head for...whatever he was doing. Who knows really. Flying the ship??]
no subject
Right now, she's hungry and as she heads to the kitchen, she spots one of her crewmates. She might have seen her before, but never had much of a chance to talk with her. She assumes everyone on the crew is a friend. Crewmates to her means friends and they're people that you should try talking to!
Avoid eye contact as much as you want with Elize, but... she's just going to WALK RIGHT UP TO JENNIFER... despite how shy she may feel about talking to strangers. ]
Umm... hello!
