[By the time he's sorted out that he's no longer in Thedas, Mahna's patience has all but run out. The silence had woken him and the continued lack of birds chattering or insects buzzing unsettles him far more than he expects. Instead, inane music plays under his strained voice.]

I am Lord Inquisitor Lavellan and it would serve you well to return my companions to me.

[He hates titles, hates formality, but if it gets his comrades back, he'll throw them around as much as necessary. Nevermind that he's in a foreign place where 'Lord Inquisitor' might just as easily put a target on his back. If Corypheus is behind this, he won't run and hide.]

I was traveling with three others and a ram: Dorian of House Pavus, Lady Mai Bhalsych of Korse, The Iron Bull of the Bull's Chargers, and Lord Woolsley of Redcliffe. If any harm has come to them, I can assure you it will be repaid in kind.

[The anchor is irrefutable proof in Mahna's book and he raises his own. Green light dances around his fingers before fizzling out, but the burn of his own Mark compares little to the increasing weight in his chest. Once upon a time, he would have been grateful for someone else to take up the position, to take the burden away from him so he could run home to his clan.

But now? Now it feels like a piece of him is being ripped out. The only part he liked about the job is gone; none of them know him.]

But do people not see both sides of a coin? [He speaks before he can reign in his emotion, though he stops himself the moment the words are out. With a sigh, he runs one hand down his face.] I apologize.

You have nothing to apologize for. Nothing of this situation makes sense, so I wouldn't expect you to be able to make sense of it.

[She just feels so strongly for him, wishes she could do something to ease the transition of being here, but there really isn't anything she can do short of cease to exist and that's something she'd rather pass on.]

The others here may not know you, but that doesn't make them any less the friends you had. Many of them didn't know me at first either, but the friendships we've built here are quite close to the ones I remember from my own version of Thedas. It can be a simpler thing than you might expect, finding your place here.

[Pretty words those are; Mahna can see how she could be Inquisitor. In comparison, he feels like a bumbling idiot who stumbled into being Inquisitor and has yet to truly gain his footing.]

Yes. Quite simple. [His voice becomes strained in his effort to keep calm and collected. His friends have a different Inquisitor and he pales in comparison.
