[By the time he's sorted out that he's no longer in Thedas, Mahna's patience has all but run out. The silence had woken him and the continued lack of birds chattering or insects buzzing unsettles him far more than he expects. Instead, inane music plays under his strained voice.]

I am Lord Inquisitor Lavellan and it would serve you well to return my companions to me.

[He hates titles, hates formality, but if it gets his comrades back, he'll throw them around as much as necessary. Nevermind that he's in a foreign place where 'Lord Inquisitor' might just as easily put a target on his back. If Corypheus is behind this, he won't run and hide.]

I was traveling with three others and a ram: Dorian of House Pavus, Lady Mai Bhalsych of Korse, The Iron Bull of the Bull's Chargers, and Lord Woolsley of Redcliffe. If any harm has come to them, I can assure you it will be repaid in kind.

[There's hope enough for Mahna to perk back up just a bit.] And I would be foolish to refuse.

[He clears his throat nervously.] I suppose I should introduce myself properly. Mahna, a hunter of Clan Lavellan in the Free Marches.

I am glad to hear that you are not foolish, then, Mahna.

[ He nods his head and offers a smile, tone careful when he speaks. ]

Aneth ara. It is good to meet you.

Andaran atish’an. [Mahna elects for a formal tone, largely because what limited Elvish he knows is all formal for ease.] And you. Though, this seems like a re-meeting for me.

[dirth]

[ His smile is probably familiar; that calm, measured thing, one that welcomes conversation and companionship. ]

Then we will work to make sure I know you just as well.

[It is indeed quite familiar and Mahna finds himself relaxing just a touch at its presence.]

I would like that a great deal. [He doesn't like the idea of talking about himself for too long, though, and especially through a proxy.] Perhaps once we have the ability to speak in person.

[dirth]

[ He sees it, the calm, and Solas lets himself offer a slightly nicer smile. ]

I am certain that will be soon. There are chances to visit one another when we dock and I will make sure that I find you, Mahna.

Soon. Yes. [Mahna nods along, trying to take some comfort in that.] I... [He should say thank you, but Mahna's never been comfortable with the idea of being indebted to another.] I will make my best efforts as well, Solas.
