I know I should get out more, but my apprenticeship is intense. I cannot simply gallop off to the far depths of the world without any kind of military or social standing. I'd be shipped back to Silvermoon in an instant.

[He nods slowly, understanding Fenris' problem there. It is definitely difficult. Maybe acting like a bit of a jerk on the outside when you're socially inept is a Thing. He was hoping that he was the only one who did that, but apparently not. Fake it til you make it, he guesses.]

I'd rather not rely on anyone if I don't have to, but I recognize I don't have much of a choice. Amassing an amount of power and influence is the best way, since I don't wish to burn the city down. That's already happened...

I'm close to becoming a magister. I can aim for higher positions by perfecting my skill and earning the favor of other mages the world over, and then it's a matter of finding the right people to help me reform my home.

Hn. Elves have much that problem. Were it not for my gifts and friends I would have likely been put into an alienage or taken back into slavery.

You should speak to a man here named Dorian. You and he are exceptionally alike. I am sure you would benefit from one another's experiences. He wishes for much the same for our homeland, he likewise was on the path to become a magister.

Generally, they don't. Dorian, however, has become something of a pariah, due to disagreeing with his own people. Do not get me wrong, his experiences are nothing like that of the elves of our world. Humans still, and always will be, the more fortunate of the races.
