[Fortunately, Beverly was on her way to the bridge already, to check out the view of this new planet, so it's only a few minutes before she stumbles upon Allen and Usagi in the corridor. The sight of Allen alarms her, naturally, but years of experience keep her demeanor calm and professional. She immediately kneels beside Allen and her voice is quiet when she speaks to him.]

Allen? Is it him?

[moonbeams]

[Him? Him who? Usagi's glad that Dr. Crusher is here -- it's quite a stroke of luck that she was just happening by. Concerned -- but suddenly feeling like she's missing some important information -- She scoots back to give the doctor room to look Allen over.

She tangles her fingers together anxiously, fumbling her fingers over her nails as her brow furrows.] He looked like he was in a lot of pain, and his skin... I thought bringing him to a doctor would be best. [But other than that... Usagi is clueless.]

[He looks over when he hears Beverly kneel down and speak. It's a bit of a relief, someone being here that actually has...some idea what's going on, no offense to Usagi. ]

Dr. Crusher....

[Unfortunately, it seems like the grayness he pushed back a moment ago is coming back, and his eyes are starting to flicker yellow some]

It feels like it- I just standing on the bridge, and this started happening out of nowhere. I don't know why.

[Beverly looks at Allen uncertainly. Obviously he hasn't told Usagi about the Noah, but she doesn't feel like it's her place to say anything. She takes her tricorder out of her pocket and begins scanning him.]

Did this just happen? As we have been approaching the planet?

[moonbeams]

[She doesn't want to interrupt, so she shifts back to make certain there's room for Beverly to do her thing.]

... [Maybe she should see about getting something for Allen to drink... that would help, right? Maybe? She stands up and shimmies out of the way, setting a hand against the corridor wall.] I'll be right back okay? I'll get you something to drink... [This is probably not helpful, but she is trying.]

Ah- [He looks up when Usagi speaks, offering her a smile] Thank you. That'd be nice.

[He's not sure how much help drinking something would be- but it was worth a shot right? He did feel thirsty.

[He focuses his attention on Beverly]

Yes, that's right. I was feeling just fine until then.

Hmm...

[Beverly takes out the tricorder, which now perpetually lives in one of her jumpsuit pockets (pockets! on a uniform! what a novel idea!), and begins to scan Allen, frowning slightly at what she sees on the screen.]

Well, the good news is, your vitals are stable, though there is a drop in your production of melanin. Your blood pressure is slightly increased, but no more than is to be expected given the stress of the situation. The tricorder is picking up on the existence of another entity inside of you but I'm afraid it can't tell me much more than that.

[She shuts the tricorder and studies Allen for a moment while she debates with herself.]

Without knowing more about the Noah's physiology, I don't want to risk putting you in more danger by giving you any medications. According to my scans, your augment is not malfunctioning, so my best guess is that there is something about the planet that's triggering him, though what exactly that something is, I cannot say. I would recommend we turn the ship around immediately and get you back to one of the waystations.

[He listens to the explanation, breaking it down into his head. He doesn't need to ask for clarification anymore like he did in the past when a doctor starts talking. Which...well. that's a bright spot isn't it? He at least understands what he's being described as?]

[Ugh, he grimaces as he feels again that tug to go towards the planet, his skin is starting to get gray patches. He was getting a real headache from this.]

Mm, I think you might be right... [His hand reaches up to rub his temple] I feel like there's something calling me to go down there. Or not me, but... [The Noah]

[Her brow furrows with worry.] I'll call Suki and let her know. But first, let's try to get you to sickbay, okay? Do you think you can stand?

Yeah, I can.

[He moves to stand and start walking to sickbay. He's not looking good, but hey, he's steady. He did this once while having a stab wound at the same time. This was nothing next to that]

[Despite his movements being relatively steady, Beverly hovers cautiously beside him as they walk, her hands out and ready to catch him if he stumbles. Not wanting to make his headache worst, she doesn't say anything, just lets him concentrate on walking.

When they get to sickbay she helps him up onto one of the beds.]

Do you want a blanket? And I can dim the lights, if that would help.
