[holy shit you guys there is a planet, like, an actual planet now. what are you gonna do? get out and look? marvel at the locals? search for aliens? stand around your ship and questioning every life choice you've made up until this point? hang around in orbit because planets are for squares?

this is mostly for early stuff, so please feel free to make your own posts in the next couple of weeks with more planet (or station, or ship!) shenanigans.]

[Zhas can be found planet-side! He ditched the ship pretty fast, went out dressed up in full skullface makeup and everything, but he was not expecting... to find a whole bunch of people also dressed up in skull facepaint?

SO ANYONE CAN FIND HIM hanging around the city, looking increasingly confused as people pass him by, say hello, and compliment his face.

[FIRST he takes a step back from her sudden, grinning self.

and then he... scratches his head, looking back out at the crowd. one eyebrow slightly raised. he's practically emoting. it's really bizarre.]

[he shakes his head. don't leave him here. the dust is going to stick to his face.]

[She blinks at him in surprise, because she wasn't actually expecting something that resembled a serious answer... then she laughs and gives him a friendly whack on the shoulder.]

I suppose you can come with us after all!

[oof. ...he straightens up and gives her a flat look.]

[nooners was originally going to stay and watch the ship, but once it was clear that it could be left securely, and auto-pilot safely guided them to the surface... It wouldn't hurt to join the others in exploring, right? So probably after Zhas has been there for a few hours, he might spot Nunnally. She looks painfully out of place, but she looks relieved to see one familiar face behind face paint. She waves and rolls her chair over his way]

I almost didn't see you. Hello!

[he spots her pretty fast--her chair's got a sound that's easy to track. he gives a tiny wave back, which has turned into his way of saying it's nice to see her too.]

[yay, zhas you're adorable. She smiles at the wave in return, and comes close enough so that her voice carries amid the festivities, but not close enough to invade his personal space]

Do you think the people here paint their faces all the time? Or maybe it's just for a special occasion...?

[the care she takes in giving him personal space might be lost. after a moment of consideration, he kneels down next to her, pulling out his communicator and propping his elbow on the arm of her chair--so she can see the screen as he types:]

[:D She doesn't mind when he leans down, she just always wants to err on the side of being polite and cautious. She does watch as he types, and then her mouth forms an 'oh' as she considers the idea]

That would be amazing if a-- [she pauses... is it rude... to call people aliens?] I mean, people from other worlds celebrated the same holidays that exist on Earth.

[oh, so she is from Earth. he'd never asked, so... good to know. he deletes the text and writes something new, looking as straight-faced as ever.]

[oh no and his defenses are down. he looks a little... unimpressed with this new person who's trying to talk to him, but he shakes his head anyway.]

When Sam sees him he literally just assumes Zhas is one of the aliens from this planet because that make-up kinda hides his skin colour and all that...herp. So he winds up trying to wave him down when he catches him on one of the streets, arm up in the air and everything. ]

Hey...! Hey, um...! Excuse me! Do you know the way back to the place with all the shops and stuff, I kinda think I took a wrong turn...

[well, he's... weirded out that someone is approaching him, and he frowns.

...but he also points down a street, because he knows where he's talking about.]

[ Hey man he is the best person to be approached by okay, he's totally harmless. And thinks his face paint is hella spiffy! ]
