Well, now that we've all gotten our fill of rampant debauchery, I thought I might pose a little question to you, Fleet. A more...somber question.

[Dorian looks considering for a moment, and when he speaks, he talks with his hands as much as his mouth. It seems like a subject he's certainly into, that's for sure.]

What would you do if, for example, you disagreed with the politics of your home? What measures would you go to? At what cost would you ensure that things were righted, were changed for the better?

[He raises a brow.]

Would you kill for it? Would you bring about chaos and disarray because the end would justify those means, as it were? How many deaths can be justified by a revolutionary change? 10? 100? Thousands? If it were for the greater good, how many lives could you sacrifice?

[He brings the hand back to his chin, thinking.]

Color me curious. What are your politics there?

I don't know. I don't understand those things. Politics. Grand revolution. I just know individual people and what they do and don't do. Sometimes why.

[He peers at the screen intently.]

But... what do you really want to know?

And what do you do, then, on a small scale, Cole? When someone is wicked and corrupt, hurting others?

[Dorian asks like he doesn't have an idea.]

I want to know many things. Knowledge is, after all, power.

[Cole doesn't like the communicator.

Compassion likes it even less, but he cheats and uses Jove and Solas to try and reach out across to Dorian, struggling to find a connection strong enough to ride the distances of space.]

You know what I do. When someone likes hurting others, I stop them. I'll try and give them another option, if they don't want to hurt people but do. Or I'll kill them. Then they stop hurting others.

But when you asked that... you want to know something, but not what you asked.

[Dorian inclines his head again. His tone is pleasant, but he knows he should have expected this.]

Fishing about in my head again, are you, Cole?

Perhaps you can say that I was looking for something, to offer someone another chance.

I can't fish in your head. Even if there were fish, you're too far away.

I don't only read people with my spirit self. I know you. You wouldn't ask something like that without wanting to know something different. Never leave yourself open.

[He starts reaching to the communicator to turn it off. He always hurts Dorian.]

No, Cole...

[He sighs a bit.]

Please, stay. I don't want you to think that I dislike you. It's simply that...you have a way of jabbing you knife where it hurts, as it were.

[And then he offers:]

I'll be visiting Solas soon, I'd...like to see you.

[He stops, looking at the screen and still hesitating, uncomfortable with not being able to tell what's going on with Dorian.]

It's not me you dislike. It's what I do to you. Without meaning to, but I still do it.

I don't want to hurt you more. I don't.

[He's not looking at the screen again.]

I... can stay on the ship. So I'm here when you visit Solas. And you can decide if you want to come and see me then.
