[Cullen doesn't like broadcasting, hence why he very rarely does it. He has no problem speaking to groups of people, rallying troop before battle, but there's something different about this sort of communication that he really does not enjoy. Even still it makes him uncomfortable.

An odd request, but I was hoping that if anyone happened to possess spare... [how does he even ask] decorative items? A resident on the Huntress is hoping to set up a sort of tea room [why is he doing this] and so I'd figured I'd ask if anyone would want to donate to the cause.

[Elize has him around her little finger, that's why.]

A lot of reasons.

[Cole is doing that squirming thing he does when he's trying not to say something. He doesn't lie. He does obfuscate sometimes, to try and stop someone being hurt or upset.]

You two think very different. About lots of things.

I know you don't. You don't hold any ill will to me either, and you had far more reason to.

I don't worry about it. You don't dislike me. You could, because of what I am, but you don't.

You don't like the things I see and say sometimes, but you don't dislike me.

That's right. And I know Elize would be happy if you spent more time on the Huntress.

[For all that Cole was very good at intuiting how to cheer people up, he wasn't good at knowing what would make them happy.]

Would anyone be upset if I spent more time there?

No. [He means it.] Just keep her out of trouble.

Cadash used to say I didn't know how to keep myself out of trouble, but I'll look after her.

She... reminds Cole of his little sister. What she might have grown up like. I think... they were near the same age, maybe.

She reminds me of my younger sister, Rosalie, at times. So full of life.
