Maybe I should go back to my ship and grab some other weapons before scouting ahead.

That might not be a bad idea. The less time they have to cause problems, the better.

[ And then, thoughtfully ] I wonder if the exploding tags would work, too ...

Might as well try. Anything that'll give us an edge.

[He moves to stand, brushing himself off]

How about we meet back here in an hour. We can get some more weapons, and then check the place out together. [No, he doesn't think about asking his crewmates. He's used to fighting with Ino. A crewmate, one he's not comfortable with how much they can fight, would be someone he'd feel obligated to protect]

[ Honestly, she doesn't even question it. She likes her crew, and many of them are plenty capable, but her and Allen mesh well enough together that she doesn't have to worry nearly as much. ]

Yeah, sounds like a plan. I don't like using the guns, but I guess whatever works will have to do.

Ah...yeah. I don't practise with them all that much either. [Much too lethal for his taste normally] But we'll make do, I'm sure!
