A cry for help
[a distress call has been tracked across the void, finally leading back to the source. a hulking crippled ship, teeming with hostile alien life, now lies before you.
what do you do? do you dive in or hang back? are you here to learn, play, build, or observe?
however you choose to proceed, your audience is out there somewhere, watching.]
ooc: here is a good ol' themed mingle to get you all started! and don't feel limited by the prompts and what they describe--they're just there as idea-starters, so feel free to go anywhere and do anything.
have fun!

[though Tek is following very vaguely in the wake of other teams venturing into the ship, he is primarily traveling on his own. he's got a flashlight, though he hardly uses it. maybe he can see just fine by the tiny glow from whatever auxiliary systems are still online, or maybe he likes just wandering along in the dark like a creep.
either way, he'll be lucky if he isn't mistaken for bugs shuffling around in the shadows.]
→ B
[and while we're on the subject of bugs, Tek has been terribly curious about them, but hasn't gone out of his way to investigate them very closely. he's kept his distance where he can, preferring to follow behind other groups that are helpfully clearing the way for him.
it's isn't until he steps over the very obliterated corpse of one unfortunate creature, that he finally stoops down to get a closer look.
making sure not to get any of that staining blue blood on his nice clothes, he picks up a broken segment of bug leg, shines his flashlight on it, brings it to his face to take a good sniff of it... and maybe sneaks a little bite.]
A/B? Ish? I don't know.
Her hair is swinging around her, clumped with bug-gore, and she's coated with both but guts, her own blood, and something that might have leaked from the ship. She looks, surprisingly, right in her element.
She also looks delighted.]

it's a totally unnecessary move, but he shines his flashlight right in her face anyway.]
...Gods above, you look disgusting.

Looking for something, boss dragon?]

[and he, of course, doesn't wait for a detailed answer. he just gestures with his flashlight, lazily shining it over the nearby walls.]
Have you found anything interesting, or have you been too busy killing monsters with your teeth, by the looks of it?
no subject
His comment has Jinx snapping her teeth at him playfully, giving him a view of what may indeed be bug gore in her teeth, before sticking her face into the wall and glancing around.]

[and when she's done with that, he experimentally gestures over at one of the hollowed-out spots in another wall, past a goopy pile of bug corpses.]
And I don't know exactly what I'm looking for, but I'm sure I'll know it when I see it.

She snickers at the pun she'd made in her head, clambering over the pile of bug guts to check his next assigned spot. She shakes some guts off her foot (phasing through them would have been a lot of work, and for some reason... she was already pretty exhausted), and then takes a deep breath before sticking her head in the wall.
The last one hadn't had much space for air.]

[talking, whether she can hear him or not. and maybe she can, with how this particular wall has been hollowed out--busted in from the other side, and filled with scavenged things from the nearby stations.]

A slightly blank look is what she gives, before just shrugging and nodding. Why the hell not. Whatever.
There's stuff in that one, Boss Dragon. You want a look? C'mere if you do.]

Science.
Holding out her hand for his, she moves back towards the wall.]
