[ Well, Vanyel does seem able to suddenly go faster! Maybe it worked a little!
If Vanyel knows what it feels like to be inhaling more oxygen than normal, he might realize how Asteffiel breathes. And why running just helps him out.
The plant will skid to a halt toward the back end of the safe place, watching for the bugs. Please don't follow them. ]

[ Vanyel hit the door to close it, leaning against the adjacent wall, hand clutching his chest. Sweat dripped along his forehead, bent over and breathing hard. That... was not something he wished repeated. He looked to Asteffiel, trying his best to put on his sternest face. ]

I didn't realize the bugs wouldn't react to magic? So I was looking for the food they took from the station! In case there was anything I could grow from it...?

You shouldn't go wandering about by yourself in a strange space, Asteffiel. It is dangerous, and you could have been hurt with no one to help. Next time, let one of us know where you are going.

[ Okay, maybe not quite fine. He does still need a good staff, for things to be mostly fine, and a proper set of daggers for things to have been completely fine.
But he has sort of shrunk like he's aware he did something wrong. ]
... Like captain apple? [ Ferris probably would probably make one of those noises if he told him. The ones that say 'whatever leave me alone'. ]

[ He had learned that Asteffiel mixed up the names of people, and had finally figured out that "apple" meant "Axel". ]
Or even myself. Just someone else on the ship so we know where you have gone and if you might be in danger. You are part of our crew, Astaffiel, we would not want anything to happen to you, you understand?

Okay.
[ ... Asking to go back in is a bad idea. That, and the bugs had tried eating him, which is most definitely not okay, so Asteffiel doesn't really want to go back in anyway. ]
.. I will ask people at the entrance if they find the bugs food? And to bring anything back that looks like seeds?
