A cry for help

[a distress call has been tracked across the void, finally leading back to the source. a hulking crippled ship, teeming with hostile alien life, now lies before you.

what do you do? do you dive in or hang back? are you here to learn, play, build, or observe?

however you choose to proceed, your audience is out there somewhere, watching.]

ooc: here is a good ol' themed mingle to get you all started! and don't feel limited by the prompts and what they describe--they're just there as idea-starters, so feel free to go anywhere and do anything.

have fun!

[She raises her eyebrows, looking more amused than surprised. No one ever accused her of being a good actress. ]

You mean law enforcement can tell the difference? I didn't think you could. I've lost track of how many times I've been arrested for just that.

[Well, he's wearing his glasses, at least-- the auxiliary power hasn't been enough to see by, and his eyes started hurting after day one.]

Yeah, but we can also tell the difference between liars and-- truth-telling-people.

[Goddamnit]

[personal profile] pirasea 2015-06-24 01:49 pm (UTC)(link)
You don't consider me to be truth telling people? Ray, that's hurtful.

[No, it isn't. She might be laughing. Quite possibly at him.]

Even that was a lie, Isabela. [He will ignore that with grace. Some grace, anyway. He wipes his hands on his jumpsuit and leans back, grinning.]

You look like you been having fun.

[she rolls her eyes, but doesn't deny it. Instead she grins, tossing one of her daggers then catching it neatly. She's missed having these even if they aren't quite up to her usual standard of weapon or even as pretty.]

Oh, I have. I can't remember the last time I got to kill so many things.

[Well, she can, but it was before she got here which makes it too long ago.]
poetontheinside: (that right?)

[personal profile] poetontheinside 2015-06-24 02:04 pm (UTC)(link)
That really does it for ya, huh? [It's a little weird to think about, but from what he knows about her it makes sense, at least. His eyes track the dagger, kind of impressed.]
pirasea: (61)

[personal profile] pirasea 2015-06-24 03:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Absolutely.

[she gives him a friendly wink, wiping the dagger she's just tossed clean on her already heavily soiled t-shirt.]

If you're free later I could show you just how much.
poetontheinside: (eehh not exactly)

[personal profile] poetontheinside 2015-06-24 05:55 pm (UTC)(link)
[He gives her a look-- seriously, Isabela?]

Don't be disappointed, but I'm pretty sure that ain't my kink.
pirasea: (43)

[personal profile] pirasea 2015-06-24 06:59 pm (UTC)(link)
[She shrugs, proceeding to clean off her other dagger.]

Worth a try. Hawke's become terribly dull in his monogamy, and I'm sure there must be someone here who can appreciate a nice, hard shag after the thrill of a good fight.
poetontheinside: (it's slang frase)

[personal profile] poetontheinside 2015-06-24 07:04 pm (UTC)(link)
[He narrows his eyes at her a little more. He is not going to be tricked into knives in bed, no matter how hot she is.]

You leave the knives at the door and you can try all you want.

[She huffs a laugh, sheaving the now clean(ish) daggers . She's still on guard for any attacking insects, but she's fast enough she's confident sure she can draw them if she needs. ]

Why? I was hardly planning on stabbing you. In fact, I was rather hoping it would be your blade in me.

[Sorry, Ray. Isabela might not apologise for her terrible jokes, but I will a thousand times over. ]
poetontheinside: (I love that! I mean I love you!)

[personal profile] poetontheinside 2015-06-24 07:29 pm (UTC)(link)
[He can't help it-- that was so terrible he has to laugh. So hard, in fact, that he has to put his head between his knees to recover.]

Jesus, be careful, Isabela. I'm too young and handsome to die of a heart attack.

[He wheezes a few more times, and then straightens up, still grinning.] Anyway, your buddy Hawke told me somethin' else.

[personal profile] pirasea 2015-06-24 07:48 pm (UTC)(link)
[His reaction pleases her visibly, and when she drops down next to him her grin is smug and wide.

She feigns surprise at his mention of Hawke, though of course she already knows the exact content of that discussion. They talk. Frequently and in depth. That doesn't mean she can't have a little fun though. She throws a friendly arm around his shoulder, touching his cheek gently with one of her cleaner fingers.]

Sweetness, unless you have something suitably phallic I'm afraid I couldn't possibly accommodate the reverse, though I'm delighted you seem so interested.
poetontheinside: (you got it)

[personal profile] poetontheinside 2015-06-24 08:04 pm (UTC)(link)
[She doesn't fool him-- he knows Hawke told her everything they'd talked about. He's accepted this fact.

He pushes his cheek back against her finger playfully, taps out a little tune on her knee.]

Hey, I'll try anything. But I wasn't talking about that- he said you wanted me to go downtown, no blades involved.
pirasea: (58)

[personal profile] pirasea 2015-06-24 08:29 pm (UTC)(link)
I can't say I'd complain about that.

[Not that she's ever heard it phrased like that, but even if she didn't know what they'd talked about it wouldn't be difficult to work it out.]

Hey, lady, I ain't puttin' in the effort if you're not all that interested. [Some interest, please. He's smiling, though, knocks his knee against hers.]
pirasea: (28)

[personal profile] pirasea 2015-06-25 10:55 am (UTC)(link)
[She pouts a little, though perhaps unsurprisingly there's more mockery to it than disappointment.]

Oh, don't be like that. I never said I wasn't interested. I'm sure Hawke told you exactly how much I enjoy a man who knows what he's doing downtown.

[She smirks then, squeezing his shoulder.] You never know. If you're lucky I might even be grateful enough to return the favour.

[Or regardless of if he is really. She can't claim she doesn't enjoy giving as much as receiving in its way. ]
poetontheinside: (hawks rule!)

[personal profile] poetontheinside 2015-06-25 11:27 am (UTC)(link)
Lemme tell you, when I get down and dirty, you're gonna be plenty grateful. No luck needed.

[He still has no idea why she's into his skinny ass, but he's gonna give as good as he gets all the same.]
pirasea: (84)

[personal profile] pirasea 2015-06-25 12:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Mmmmmm. Then you can consider me very interested. Preferably as soon as you get done here.

[With his looting... whatever it is he's looting.]
poetontheinside: (fingerbite)

[personal profile] poetontheinside 2015-06-25 12:26 pm (UTC)(link)
[He grins, vibrating a little at the prospect- whatever, he's a guy, don't blame him. He gives her a very, very dirty kiss to her neck before diving back into the piece of machinery. His glasses are back on his face for the task, and he's stuck a little flashlight in a breast pocket so he can actually see.

He doesn't take too long, and he comes up with some tubing and wiring. It looks boring, but he knows he'll be able to use it.]

Alright, here we go. That's all I'm gonna get here. You don't wanna go out and fight some more of those bugs before we go, do you? [Please say no]
pirasea: (9)

[personal profile] pirasea 2015-06-25 05:40 pm (UTC)(link)
[Psssshhh. Why would she blame anyone for that? She paces a little as she waits for him, a little bored, but sadly no attacks come to keep her occupied.

Eventually (or after what feels like eventually, it's really not that long) she settles for watching him work. At least she can appreciate the view even if there is nothing she can stab just now. She even manages to refrain from making lewd comments to distract him. Mostly. Her restraint should be applauded.

When he finishes at last she straightens from where she'd settled herself, shaking her head at his question.]

Much as I'd enjoy it, I suspect that would only serve to put you off joining me after.
poetontheinside: (hawks rule!)

[personal profile] poetontheinside 2015-06-25 07:32 pm (UTC)(link)
[He points an approving finger at her, pretending he totally didn't notice her checking him out. He throws the last few things on the sheet, then bundles it up and stands up, groaning.]

You suspect right, Isabela.
pirasea: (67)

[personal profile] pirasea 2015-06-25 07:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Luckily I think you'll appreciate my other talents a little more.

[Yes. She thinks. It's not like she's had confirmation or anything.]

So then, sweetness. Your place or mine?
poetontheinside: (pretty happy myself)

[personal profile] poetontheinside 2015-06-26 10:08 am (UTC)(link)
[He's still working out the kinks as he starts walking- he's no spring chicken, and he's pretty sure he's going to have to do a full workout before too long. Can't hurt to stretch a little.]

Mine's a little cramped, so how's your place sound?
