Do... do you want to go back to your ship? I can escort you.

[ She gives the bug ship a brief glance. It doesn't look like any more people need healing at the moment, but what if she's needed later? ]

But more people might get hurt. I should stay here and help.

[arcanepower]

[She's so small, so brave. He can't help but be reminded of his sister-- though she looms so large in his memory, he knows she was around Elize's age when their parents went.]

Then-- then I'll stay here.

[A pause, and he realizes that makes no sense. He adds hastily:]

They might want food or water. I can provide both.

[princessia]

[ Elize never quite understood what he meant about conjuring those baked goods she received back when the Wonderduck was her ship. ]

Won't you need to use the kitchen?

No, not for simple things. I tend to combine magic and traditional cooking because it is faster to create a whole meal that way.

[He tilts his head and-- smiles lightly, briefly, before it's gone.]

Would you like a demonstration?

[princessia]

You can do that? Is that how you made those pastries?

[ There's excitement rising in the tone of her voice. She sits up eagerly, her attention piqued. ]

Yes, please.

It is. Conjuring a whole meal is possible, but there is always a risk it will not taste as good... and it is not very mana-efficient.

But this is fine.

[He holds out his hand. His brow furrows with concentration. There's a nice purple-blue flash of light and then... bam. He's conjured a big bear claw style pastry, warm and flaky with the perfect amount of glaze. He holds it out.]

[princessia]

[ A small gasp of surprise as the pastry appears in a flash of light, then a smile curves across her face. She claps her hands together, suddenly more energetic. ]

Amazing!

[ She nearly snatches the food from his hands far too quickly, but stops herself. ]

...Thank you!

[ A blush, then she slowly accepts it. ]

[He's glad that such a little trick can impress her. They're surrounded by so much darkness right now. Belth isn't much of a smiler himself, but it's... nice to know he can make someone else do it.]
