[If Vash was being honest. When first arriving on the planet he had been a bit disappointed. He knew before landing that it wasn't Gunsmoke, but it wasn't a whole lot different from the planet he left. If he had to be traveling through space again he had been a little hopeful to see some different sites. Although this planet had one thing that Gunsmoke didn't. He wasn't an outlaw here.

So Vash managed to fit right in quickly to the lifestyle of the planet. Highly enjoying being popular instead of feared. Just about every night Vash could be found partying the night away with the natives. Dancing, drinking, and just having a good time. He loved seeing so many happy people ready to celebrate. He even accepts their red stone gifts. What can he say? He finds the color of them stunning!

He'll also be picking up a few trinkets here and there. Odd jobs being a specialty of his from back home the gunman is happy to take on some chores

Although after one night of some rather happy partying Vash may still be a bit drunk the next day. Or at least is acting like he still is. Sometimes it's hard to tell with him. Either way, he's in a great mood and turns on his communicator. His speech slightly slurred as it changes pitch through what he says from normal speaking voice to shouting.]

Aren't these people WONDERFUL!? HAHAHAHAHA! What a great group! I didn't know a party could last this long! HAHAHAHA! This place is GREAT and so much free food! A guy could really get use to this! The face paint can be kinda creepy though... But it sure is a lot of fun! HAHAHA! I'm sure having a heck of a good time! The only way this place could be better is if they had donuts! Or pizza bread. OH! Maybe salmon sandwiches! And some pie! Oh, and donuts! The little honey ones!

[Someone may be hungry.] PANCAKES! Those would be really good right now!

...There were some issue with some cactus juice, it's a long story.

Cactus juice, huh? Never heard many issues come up from that before? [He's honestly a bit interested; even if he is slightly drunk. Seeing as on Gunsmoke cactus juice could very easily save a life now and then.]

[If Sokka knew that, he would show it Katara and scream SEE? SEE?!!!!!]

Yeah, I kinda has mass hallucinations for a couple hours in the middle of the desert. I still say it was worth it. It was the quenchiest.

Quenchiest, huh? Although, hallucinations in the desert can be pretty dangerous! You have to be careful which cactus you drink from. Not all are safe to drink from.

Well, I know that now. I was okay, though, everyone else made sure I didn't die.

Heh! That's good to hear! A good friend can be even more handy then cactus water when lost in a desert! Unless they're the reason you're lost in the first place of course.


[Sokka may also hear more muttering about crappy broken bikes.]

Nah, it's a long story but I got us into the desert for tactical reasons. Kinda backfired. Unforseen circumstances.

Those can happen. Did it only happen once? Because it's when it happens all the time that it becomes a problem. You think riding a bike all the time through the desert you'd learn to pick out a decent one!

[That last line may not have been for Sokka.]

Uh...no. It was only the once. We've avoided it since because...yeah. Deserts? Not fun.

What's a bike?

It's ah, thing you ride on. Kinda like a two wheeled space ship! Only not on space. But on the ground. And just for one or two people.

Wow, I bet that helps getting around places. It's no flying bison, but you work with that you can get.

Yeah, it's not too bad, except when sand flies get stuck in your tee------ flying bison? Aren't bison..... big? And lacking you know... wings?

They're huge. Uh...the one that's left, anyway.

But Appa doesn't have wings, he uses airbending or...something.

Or something. [Vash decides he's just going to roll with it.]

I would actually love to see an animal like that fly some day. I bet it looks really amazing.

That's what the legends say, anyway. First Airbenders and everything. [He sounds detached about it, Bending is a thing that happens to Other People, he's just the guy with the plans and the boomerang.]

It's really is something to see, though. And ride. So long as he has his saddle on.

...And he isn't moulting. Air Bison hair in your mouth? Gross.

Yuck. I haven't ever had Air Bison hair in my mouth, but I have had Thomas hair. It was awful so I imagine Air Bison isn't any better.

...Please tell me a Thomas is some kind of animal.

[Vash laughs loudly for a moment or two before he answers. Somehow finding the question hilarious. Even though it's a perfectly reasonable question.]

Yeah! They're a desert creature! Kinda like a mix of a two legged furry horse-bird, anteater type... thing. They're a bit hard to explain really.

I can picture it. We got animals like that back home.

Yeah? Really? Most people have trouble picturing it.

[Vash's stomach growls.] Ugh, their meat was awful tasting, but man, I'd give nearly anything to have some now instead of the protein stuff on the ships.
