I wish they'd put some movies on this thing or something. It wouldn't have been hard. I'm pretty sure movies are in my list of top ten modern world things. Chocolate and hot running water are on the list too. Concidentally neither of those things are around here either. Maybe it's not a place for modern technology after all??

[That's a joke, yeah.]

Also on my wishlist: they could put a chess game on here or something. We could be playing Mahjong. That would be so easy. I guess we're meant to be here driving each other crazy instead.

Anyway top ten five modern inventions:

1. movies
2. medicinal things I guess
3. chocolate. I don't know if it's modern but I never had it at home.
4. Hot running water.
5. Newspapers.

I guess so. I've only ever been on ferries. Even those can be dangerous.

What are those like?

They tip back and forth all the time and sometimes they tip over. That's never happened to me though. You pay to cross a river and the ferryman will take you over.

I bet it is when they tip over, you can drown.

That would be a good idea if they lived on the water but didn't know how. Actually if they really lived on the water they should know how in the first place, right?

Sometimes people are poor at improving in ways that should be obvious.

It would help if they knew already.

OK but I am going to theorize if people live in the water for a long time, they must know how to do things having to do with water, at least some things, so they would know a little about building boats already.
