006 - Rip Van Sokka
Who: Sokka and you!
Broadcast: Fleetwide
Action: Blue Fish
When: Right now!
[Sokka has finally awoken from cryosleep. He looks a little older (which, of course, he is, he's a whole 19 years now) and his hair is in disarray, but awake he is. His communicator catches him sitting upright, blinking confusedly around him as he tries to sort through three years worth of memories and try to work out where the hell he is.
After a few moments, the pieces fall into place, and he lets out a low groan, flopping back on his bed.]
Ugh. I thought I was done with this place.
[Then, he gets up, reluctantly, ties his hair back up in a pony tail, and heads up the hatch and out into the Blue Fish himself. It's like going back to a dream. Or maybe a nightmare. The familiarity is fuzzy and off, but it's slowly creeping back to him. ]

[Toph shoves him forward, not wanting to stop in the doorway.]
Sokka, just go!
no subject
[Sokka yelps, pin-wheel his arms a little, before stumbling in. ]
Okay, okay, geez. [He opens his eyes slowly. Pleasedon'tbedestroyed.]
no subject
[She just stands there with her arms crossed.]
no subject
[Hey. Hey, Suki...looks better. ]
...You gave her a fan.
no subject
Did I get the fan right? I'm pretty sure I did, but y'know how it is.
no subject
[No, Sokka, she really didn't.]
...Actually. Yeah. You got it pretty dead on.
[It's a little troubling that his blind best friend is a better artist than he is with both fully functioning eyes. ]

[Toph gives him a broad grin and a hard jab with her elbow.]
Uh, you're welcome. [Hint!!]
no subject
Thank you?

no subject
Toph! That almost sounds like caring.

Anyway, now that you're awake, you can clue me in to the other crew members.
no subject
Sure, what do you want to know about who? Have you met them all, yet?
no subject
Of course I know you, Aang, and Katara. I met Allen when he told everyone you were asleep. He was kind enough to help me with the transfer forms. [She's sparing his dignity by not mentioning she blackmailed and tricked him into doing it.] That's about it.

The you need to meet Hawke, he's our security guy - he has his boyfriend come around a lot, his name is Anders. There's Beverly, she's in the lab with Allen - an actual doctor who actually travels around space back home. And then there's Kairi, she's our cook.
[Which is the most important thing you need to know about her, in Sokka's opinion.]
no subject
[Well, that's that.]
no subject
HEY! My head is just fine!

no subject
Ugh. They're all really easy going. No big problems here, y'know?

It's this one.
[When they get to it, he bangs on the metal, so she can 'see' which one it is.]
no subject
[She puts her own hand on the door, pauses, then knocks on it hard with the back of her hand. This appears as an indentation on the hatch, miraculously right under the water tribe symbol.]
Where's Katara's?
no subject
...Boomerang-y.
[That's safe. Probably. He wanders to Katara's and repeats the banging motion. Here it be. ]
This one.
no subject
Huh, we're pretty grouped together. [BANG! Now there's a crescent moon with some wavy looking patterns.]
Next.
no subject
We are, we figured it was for the best.
[Over to another, bang bang. ]
This one's Aang's.
no subject
[Can you guess what's coming? Yup. BANG! Aang's door now has a glider with the top ending in an arrow.]
