006 - Rip Van Sokka

[Sokka has finally awoken from cryosleep. He looks a little older (which, of course, he is, he's a whole 19 years now) and his hair is in disarray, but awake he is. His communicator catches him sitting upright, blinking confusedly around him as he tries to sort through three years worth of memories and try to work out where the hell he is.

After a few moments, the pieces fall into place, and he lets out a low groan, flopping back on his bed.]

Ugh. I thought I was done with this place.

[Then, he gets up, reluctantly, ties his hair back up in a pony tail, and heads up the hatch and out into the Blue Fish himself. It's like going back to a dream. Or maybe a nightmare. The familiarity is fuzzy and off, but it's slowly creeping back to him. ]

Hi Toph! [He just pops up in the doorway and greats her with a friendly wave. He's all too pleased to be near his friend again.]

[bolder]

[Aang is met with a dramatic point.] Twinkle toes, come help me get something to eat!

[Pause.] And yeah, hi.

Of course I'll help you! [He scoots on over.]

How are you liking the ship so far?

[bolder]

It's both good and bad. I can pretty much tell where everyone is all the time, and I'm not sure I want that knowledge.

[She points to a... random thing.] I have no idea what any of this is, so can you just get me something quick and filling?

It makes it easy to check up on us at least!

Um... sure! [And so he prepares one of his favorite Atroma protein 'recipes'.] One banana treat, coming up!

[bolder]

I can't babysit you guys all the time! [Dramatic sigh.]

That sounds pretty vague, but all right. I'll give it a try.

Don't worry, we can take care of ourselves.

And trust me - the surprise should make it even better!

[He may not be a cook, but he follows the Atroma-suggested recipe and hands the treat to Toph after it's chilled. Taste-wise, it consists of "Cinnamon and banana gel on vanilla solid, chilled".]

Here you go, Toph!

Yeah, yeah. [She waves it off and takes the... food thing. A sniff and tentative bite later, she's wolfing it down, barely speaking legibly between bites.]

Okay, you're right, this is amazing.

Actually, yeah. I'll have you whip up something else soon, Twinkle toes. You've got decent taste. [More eating!]
