006 - Rip Van Sokka

[Sokka has finally awoken from cryosleep. He looks a little older (which, of course, he is, he's a whole 19 years now) and his hair is in disarray, but awake he is. His communicator catches him sitting upright, blinking confusedly around him as he tries to sort through three years worth of memories and try to work out where the hell he is.

After a few moments, the pieces fall into place, and he lets out a low groan, flopping back on his bed.]

Ugh. I thought I was done with this place.

[Then, he gets up, reluctantly, ties his hair back up in a pony tail, and heads up the hatch and out into the Blue Fish himself. It's like going back to a dream. Or maybe a nightmare. The familiarity is fuzzy and off, but it's slowly creeping back to him. ]

[Toph immediately freezes up when she feels the cat bound in her direction, making a sort of face when it gets in her personal space like that. After a moment, she sighs and crouches down, petting him. Some things even the great Toph Beifong is not immune to.]

[ No one is immune to the perfect circumference of cheek-fluff, which can certainly be felt, if not seen. ]

That's Alicia.

[ Hawke informs her, amusement brightening his voice. ]

The cats more or less run the ship. Don't tell Sokka I said so.

Strange name. [Coming from her. More petting of the cat.] You tell him you said so. It'd be funny.

You know, I might just do that.

[ And he does, too! In the nebulous future. ]

Is it? I wouldn't know, I only inherited them. They're the ship's cats, more or less. The other one's called Slay. Just as friendly, a little more likely to bite your feet.

[bolder]

I dare him to try. [Glare face.] He won't like what happens.

[.... while still petting Alicia.]

[ Do tell! Can it be worse than Sokka's steadily more desperate desire for meat? ]
