Who: Yosuke Hanamura
Broadcast: Fleetwide - audio
Action: SS Starstruck! If you feel like it~
When: 7/6 (aka after the shuffle)
[ No video this time - just audio. At least, for now. ]
Hey. I get that people around here leave sometimes, but... I just want to make absolutely sure before... I-I don't know. I just want to make sure.
[ There's a slightly long pause here. ]
... Has anyone seen Chie Satonaka lately? She was on the SS Paisley.
[ He'll leave communications completely open. While he's waiting for an answer, he'll just sit here and beat himself up and maybe revisit a particular conversation he had earlier with a particular drunk dude about particularly very related things. ]

audio;
this is the first news he's heard of this - so he'll be able to hear the clear confusion and distress in yu's voice the second he opens his mouth. )
... She's missing?
no subject
[ Good thing the video's not on, because he might be sitting there with one knee drawn up to his chest, staring gloomily at the floor. Just saying. ]
no subject
and it's at that moment that he hates that they're on separate ships. if only because he can't just reach out to his partner and reassure him. )
How could she just disappear like that?
no subject
[ And boy, does he hate that answer. ]
no subject
so, he asks the only thing he can think to ask. )
Are you okay?
no subject
[ He sighs. It's clear he's not really sure how to put words to what he's thinking right now, but he's trying, at least. ]
... I hope she got to go back home. I mean, otherwise...
no subject
( he's trying to sound supportive, reassuring, but he can't keep from worrying for her. she's their friend, of course they're going to be concerned for her whereabouts if she's not in the immediate vicinity.
he wishes he could keep them all around him, just so he could make sure they were all safe. )
Do you want me to come over?
( just like old times, huh? how many have they asked one another that very same question? )
no subject
Yeah. You're right, she is. Heh, she'd dropkick anything that tried to start something with her, huh?
[ It's weak, sure, but a little humor is good... right? ]
Yeah. Come on over, if it's cool with your crew, or... however any of that works.
[ Yeah. Just like old times. They both need this, he's sure. ]
[audio]
[And Alex doesn't sound too happy about it, though that's more to do with losing their captain. She never really got to know Chie.]
no subject
[ Sigh. Then, after a small pause... ]
You're sure she's back home?
no subject
no subject
[ The Plane isn't exactly like the other places he's been hearing about, but... it's similar enough.
... Topic change! He hopes. To get his mind off the serious stuff. ]
So uh, where were you before this? If you don't mind my asking.
no subject
no subject
You're totally serious, aren't you?
no subject
no subject
[ There's not an ounce of disbelief in his tone - just awe. ]

audio;
A communications officer would know better than me, but I can't find anyone by that name on the ship registries... So, yeah. She's probably not on the Fleet anymore.
no subject
Okay. But, uh... "not on the Fleet" means she's back home, right?
video;
audio;
[ He's pretty worried about that right now, even though he knows there's absolutely zero, zip, nada he can do about it. ]
audio
I haven't seen her around the Paisley, sorry - but you know, if you still want me to give you a late rundown, you could always drop by the ship.
no subject
Hey, that offer won't go bad anytime soon, will it? I don't think I can get away right now, but... maybe some other time? Sorry.
[ Or maybe yanking him out of thinking himself to death would be the better route to take? Who knows. ]
no subject
[He's not trying to be pushy here, so he amends:] I won't stay long, promise - but it's kind of hard to find a decent partner for card games.
no subject
Card games, huh? Sure, why not? Come on over.
no subject
[That's Elena's ship. Stefan furrows his brows, trying not to think about it - he's going for Yosuke's sake, not to visit his ex-girlfriend.
True to his word, though, he arrives on the bridge soon, with his trusty messenger bag (and his deck of cards). It doesn't hit him until he's craning his head, trying to find a guy who looks like his mental image of Yosuke - he's yet to see this guy on video.
It can't be that hard to find a (hopefully Japanese) guy on this ship, right?]
no subject
But someone he doesn't immediately recognize pops onto the bridge, and he figures, must be him. So with a small smile, he waves. ]
Yo. Stefan, right?
no subject
[He laughs, though his embarrassment's pretty clear.] Normally, I'm way better about asking for things like "what do you look like."
no subject
no subject
So would you want to play cards here, or should we move somewhere else?
no subject
[ Either way, he's starting toward the kitchen, gesturing for Stefan to follow. ]
no subject
You know they did it on purpose too, just to manufacture drama because we can't easily get away from each other.
no subject
Yeah, there's no way this wasn't on purpose. Just great for a TV show! [ He rolls his eyes. ] I hope it goes bust and we can all go back home.
no subject
You know you can upgrade your ship, right? Not sure how much more comfortable it'll get, but I've been pooling my credits towards a better kitchen.
no subject
But he has started learning how the engines work and that involves visiting the bridge, to try and work out how it all connects.]
no subject
But he sits up a little straighter when he hears someone come in - he doesn't actually want to make anyone worry about him, he just... thinks this whole situation sucks right now. He looks up, manages a small nod. ]
Oh, hey. Didn't think anyone else was really around right now.
no subject
[He moves into the bridge, looking around.]
It's not like any bridge I'm used to.
no subject
[ He manages a smile, latches onto the subject change and rolls with it. ]
You're used to a bridge at all? Wow. This is all completely new to me...
no subject
I lived on a space station. Deep Space Nine.
no subject
[ Careful, Dr. Bashir, he might start getting starry-eyed. ]
no subject
Well, we're there as an assisting force to the locals, so while Starfleet is the military force, it's not part of the Federation. We work with the locals to run the place and keep Bajor protected while it rebuilds.
It's very different from being in a Federation world.
action
Did you locate your friend?
no subject
No. Everyone's saying she's left the fleet, or whatever. Apparently that happens a lot?
no subject
[ He comes to sit across from Yosuke. ] We've turned over most of this ship the past month, actually.
no subject
Seriously? [ He lets out a low whistle. ] Most of the ship vanished and got replaced, just like that? That's... actually kinda creepy.
