[ may whatever deity you believe in have mercy on your ears, before there is suddenly a lot of shouting over the communicator. there's not actually much to see, because whoever is yelling...hasn't noticed it at all! oooor is ignoring it, considering the way it keeps getting stepped on any time that yelling comes closer.

whoever is yelling is clearly pretty young and upset, but when they get anywhere within view of the camera, all that can be seen is flashes of brown and black, the clanging of heavy metal chains joining all the noise. The yelling just continues, the names repeated over and over again as whoever the kids is apparently continuously runs around the deck trying to find the ones he's calling for.

Someone should probably stop him, because it doesn't sound like all the yelling is going to stop any time soon otherwise. ]

[ yeah, that yelling doubly hurts for Lloyd, and he has to take a moment to recover from that (is he hearing feedback in his head?). this is probably one of the few moments where he's actually thankful he can't feel anything because whoop there went his coffee on his lap.

This thing's a communicator: it lets you talk to people even when you're really far away from 'em! It's really handy since there's a whole buncha ships that other people're on.

How are we on a ship? I don't see any water.

Uh, not that kind of ship. These're spaceships-- We're in space, where the stars are.

It got me too, when I first got here.

Yeah! With the moon and the stars and other planets like our homes-- and we get to see 'em all!

[ luckily goku catches it right as he's about to run past the communicator again, and the video on screen successfully grabs his attention.

[oh thank goodness, the yelling has stopped. his ears perk up again and he pushes a smile onto his face.]

I'm not actually trapped! It's just, like.. a screen thing. I'm somewhere else, and so this is just a picture of my face.

[...it's sad how often he's had to give this explanation here, but he's trying to politely make sure to act like it's a completely reasonable question.]

So, okay. Right now, you're on one ship. And you're just kind of stuck there for a little while--it's this thing that just kind of happens here.

And then I am on another ship, floating somewhere else. And since we're so far apart, we all use these things to talk to each other. With... science.

There aren't really any trees here. ...I mean, sometimes there are planets with bunches of trees, and the fake ones on the stations. But I don't think they'll really help you.

If you're looking for someone, usually you just ask on the network.

[Probably not, he knows from Paradisa that often somepony will be brought in, rather cruelly, alone. Still, no sense in crushing the youngster's hopes just yet. ]
