best ship in the fleet
Who: Anyone aboard the SS Pathstone!
Broadcast: Probably not
Action: Yes! Even if that action is mostly sleeping.
When: All month!
[watch, dear audience, as the intrepid crew of the SS Pathstone handles beaches, bugs, and storms!
with nothing but teamwork and sheer emotional maturity, they face each and every obstacle with dignity and grace.
there will never be a crew in the entire Fleet as stalwart and bonded in the eternal ties of friendship as the Pathstone.
watch, and be amazed.]

open to anyone, really
so, some hours ago, he'd dragged himself back to his ship and back to bed, quite exhausted. he hadn't cared whether his nest was occupied or not at the time, and if anyone decided to climb in after he'd fallen asleep, he hadn't noticed.
it's difficult to wake a dragon once they're slumbering. however, the storm that has been quietly creeping up over the land on which the ship is parked, has a good chance of being up to the task one it really begins to roll.]

Crowley does have a tendency to lie. Especially to himself.
He largely ignores the storm, curling up next to Tek to settle in for a good long sleep. He's slept though a lot worse, after all.]

and perfectly platonic or not, at least it's peaceful and warm, while the storm rumbles and builds outside.]

and when it is, it's with Tek jumping in his sleep and slamming his head up into Crowley's chin.]

What the bollocks was that?

he told himself that he would leave if there was already someone else in the bed, so. didn't want to make a big deal of it. it certainly has nothing to do with wanting to keep other people from learning about Tek's little quirk, or his own pangs of potential jealousy.
but, since there's no one, he takes off his shoes and gloves and jacket by the door, and walks over to join him.]

that's when the components all mix together in the right way. thunder shakes the hull of the ship, just as everything he's laying on dips to the side under someone else's weight.
he's suddenly fighting, flailing out in the dark--either fending something off or writhing hard to catch his imaginary balance--and that arm is heading right for Robin's face.]

he'd really imagined it'd be a little more heartwarming than this. sure shows him.]

maybe he can just sleep through the weather without significant interruption. maybe it won't be a problem at all.]

and he comes out of it fighting. the lightning is in his bones, wracking his nerves, and he flails out against his attacker.
she's probably going to get grabbed, and definitely going to be shoved, as he lashes out against nothing.]

She wouldn't have been surprised if there were guards stationed outside her rooms at night despite the fact that there was an entire stairwell and two heavy wooden doors after that to get through. She'd always felt protected in Skyhold, and when she slept there it was with the knowledge that assassination attempts would be mostly impossible.
When Tek grabs her, all those impossible scenarios are what she immediately assumes are happening. The hands on her are ones that are going to have her dead in seconds because of her willingness to trust that she was safe. Her legs tangle in the sheets when she tries to kick him away so the only option is to grab him back, hands wrapping tight around her attacker's arms, she's just about to make the nightmare he's having real, ready to shove electricity through him to save herself-
And then, even through her terror, she makes out the familiar features of someone she considers a friend. She keeps her grip on him, but that's all. Not even a hint of her magic touches him. It had been close.]
Tek. [She still sounds afraid, voice breaking just at the end of his name. She can't escape her moment of terror any better than he can, apparently.] Tek, stop.

She mostly pays visits to the Pathstone to visit Jove or Cole. When she spots Tek asleep in his nest, she's surprised. She never knew that he was a part of the Pathstone crew. Her expression quickly changes to a look of disgust, still feeling very unhappy about the time when she first met him. ]
...You again.
[ She mutters out loud, despite him being asleep. ]

so, one eye slides open at the sound... and a few moments later the rest of his face sluggishly lifts up from the blankets so he can squint over in her direction.]
--You.
[his is far less accusing, though. and he smiles with it--though it's really more like a smirk.
at least he looks much less monstrous than the last time she'd seen him. properly put together and human-looking, the sharp teeth have lost their points, and his eyes only have a dim little glow, now.]
...You must be feeling better, then.
no subject
[ Crossing her arms, she looks down at him with a reprimanding gaze. It's almost similar to when she first met him, except she isn't trembling in fear anymore. Probably because he looks less frightening. That smirk is familiar and annoys her. ]
What are you doing on Jove's ship?
[ Two captains, what? And she still doesn't know his name, not that it really matters to her or anything! He's just "you". ]

He may share with someone what he's doing, he may not. He also seems to have managed to get himself some non-algae wine, the last bottle left over from their last stop for proper alcohol. He definately won't share that. ]

Why do I get the feeling you're cooking up something particularly terrible?

You say that as if I'm prone to cooking up terrible things.

so he opens, the door, walks in, aaaaand--]
--Huh?
[...that's not Tek. so, who's stealing the captain bed this time?]
no subject
The nest reminds her of the communal beds her clan would sometimes set up, that's all. They're comfortable in a nostalgic kind of way and when Tek isn't there, Jove takes advantage and uses the nest for herself.
Because she's a captain. And it's the captain's nest.
Captain's. Nest.]

[--he shuts the door behind him. it's a little loud. unless she sleeps like a dead log, it'll probably at least stir her into consciousness.
he only met Jove once, before this, but he mostly knows her as "the girl directly responsible for a month and a half of misery". Tek's crewmate, and also the last person to murder him. so his closing the door is... mostly instinct, even if that instinct is very misplaced.]

He's focused on a glowing screen made of his magic, though, with what looks like math equations running over it. ]
... reversing the 'gravity'... make it go up.... then altering ... [ He's mumbling to himself about whatever he's working on, occasionally typing something out on what looks a lot like a keyboard of the same magical glow. ]
no subject
Tek had just been on his way to grab a snack before heading out again, but this certainly snags his attention. detouring over, he nibbles on a slice of protein as he looks at the screen over Duke's shoulder.]
...Oh, no. You have those two digits reversed.
[he's making shit up.]
no subject
Perhaps you're familiar with a different strength of gravity.
[ ... but he could alter that to make different sort of arcs. Hmn. A later test.
... And then he pulls up what looks like a graph and starts drawing out patterns. ]
