Who: Max Caulfield & Anybody
Broadcast: Open
Action: SS Marsiva
When: Saturday, pre-shuffle
[ Max is almost used to waking up in weird places. But when she awakens to the crisp, clean, sterile surroundings of the Marsiva's hospitality deck, she knows something is wrong. Her dorm room, Chloe's room, school maybe, the lighthouse... but this felt more like a hospital. Where...? ]
This isn't... where is this? [ She's quick enough to her feet, glancing around. ] Calm down, Max, just need to figure out... where......
[ She trails off when she catches sight of those bowing windows in the viewing bay, showing... space. ]
No way. No way... This can't be real.
[ She seems to be in denial for a few moments. Gaping, staring, taking a step back...
And then, hands shaking... she pulls out an old instant camera and snaps a picture. "Always take the shot." That's what she had been told.
She shakes the photo that pops out for a moment, then stares at it, as if the view would somehow be different. But alas, it is not. ] This is really happening, isn't it? I'm in space. How?
[ Assume she's open to messages here. During and following those, though, she'll be snooping around the deck, looking at and through anything and everything. Snoop, Max, snoop and figure things out. ]

A little unsure why somebody's focusing on the camera instead of the kidnapping though. ]
Yeah. It's kind of old, but I actually prefer the older analog models.

Wow, dude, that is old. I don't think I've ever actually seen a physical one before!
[... Ah yes, there's the kidnapping thing. Right, so that's also important.]
Hey, sooo... has someone told you about this place yet? I can answer some questions if you've got them.

Still, there are more important things to worry about. ] Let's see. I've been told that we've all been kidnapped by some shadowy organization to appear on reality TV, we're in space, and the ship I'm on right now is the... Maritzva?
Beyond that, not much.

[He settles a bit, now that he's not leaned in to try getting a closer look at that camera.] But yeah, that's pretty much the basic gist of it, kind of like learning about the nine planets of the solar system and not much else. Pretty soon - I don't know, end of the week soon? A ship will be picked out for you to land on, and that'll be... well, your ship. Your crew, your everything for a while.
It's kind of cool, there's confetti and even some chocolate pudding when you show up! [So that was pretty much the highlight of that day okok]

Anyway, today's Thursday, so what's considered the end of the week? Tomorrow? Sunday? [ Actually, today is Saturday, but Max doesn't know that you get pulled in to a different date. It was Thursday before she wound up here, so... ]

Saaay, what year is it where you're from?
no subject
Wait. Hold up. ] What do you mean, "where I'm from?" We're in space, not in the future.
[ ...Are they in the future? What if it's not aliens, but super-far-future humans that kidnapped them?
That would explain the reality TV fixation.Still, she didn't really answer. Best to do that. ] It's 2013.

Give it a feeeew more years. There'll be a big change in the way astronomers look at their planetary requirements.

When are you from, then?

Okay. This is going to sound really weird, but bear with me all right? [Another pause, if only so that she can have time to brace herself a little.]
It's 2027 where I'm from.
