[ so, he's arrived and rogue filled him in on the important details of who was here that he may know - or may yet know, thanks to timelines being what they are. it's the sort of thing he's had experience dealing with before, but it was still annoying. in luceti, no one else had been privy to details that hadn't happened to him yet. if they even pertained to the same version of him - tony was well aware of the fact that there were several other iterations of himself somewhere out there in the cosmos. he's gotten used to it. ]

[Her smirk turns less condescending and more friendly, more knowing as though she is on a secret he's not privy to. Whatever lingering feelings of animosity she still harbors towards Stark, she did have to concede that his wit could entertaining at times.]

[ there's definitely something he should know here that he doesn't. he doesn't necessarily love not being in on the secret, but knowing the future could be a dangerous thing, too.

[ yep, ther it is. a date in the future he hasn't reached yet. while it's nice to know he lives that long, it's hard not to ask questions about the circumstances in which she knew him immediately. ]

December 2013. Technically. [ not counting the weird pockets of time he'd spent in luceti. ] So - yeah. What happens in April 2015? [ did it have anything to do with what the vision had told rogue? ]

[One of Wanda's eyebrows shoots up in slight surprise. She had expected this to a degree, but it was always a little startling to run into a familiar face from a different time or reality or world or whatever. Nonetheless, she nods her head in understanding before continuing with their conversation. She doesn't even blink, her voice does not falter as she answers his question.]

[Wanda knows there is more to it than that, but still the Ultron Project had been Stark's brainchild all along. Despite whether or not Stark had intended for Ultron to turn into a genocidal maniac, the fact remained that without Stark... there would have been no Ultron.]

[ oh...kay. so, that's not exactly what he wants to hear. and it's a little blindsiding, with so little detail and brandished like an indisputable fact.

cold dread pickles at his skin. maybe he doesn't want to know this. maybe she was one of the bad guys and had a different perspective. but then, she wasn't exactly treating him like an enemy.

april 2015...almost a year and a half from his time. a lot could happen in a year and a half. ]

Uh - yeah, could you elaborate on that a bit? Because killing everyone is kind of the opposite of what I actively try to do in my day-to-day life.

[Wanda's expression remains a cold mask of serious intent. Her tone is level, calm, but also a little bit threatening. What she says next will likely not change anything, but she wants to say it nonetheless.]

[There's a short pause as she lets this sink in, before she adds:]

[ NOPE. it doesn't sound familiar.

which is...actually a bit relieving. she could be from an entirely different universe than he - it wouldn't be the first time he'd caught wind of the actions of another tony stark mucking things up. not that he hadn't had his fair share of mucking things up, but he was trying to move past that now. he was trying to move past that very fear. it was something being in luceti had only driven into him further, each and every time he failed to protect the people closest to him. he'd learned better than that, hadn't he? but then again, he didn't have the luxury of his luceti experiences back home. ]

I think you may have your Tony Starks crossed.

[ or, at least, he hopes so. god, he hopes so. ]

[Wanda cocks an eyebrow in mild annoyance, before shrugging her shoulders and crossing her arms. His reaction told her everything. If he had actually recognized that name, it would have shown on his face. He wasn't nearly as good as Agent Romanov in keeping a poker face.]

[Wanda begins to look somewhat bemused again. It was an interesting position to be the one with the answers for once and not the other way around.]

[There is a definite glare on Wanda's face as she looks at Stark. Despite her original intentions before, she has lost her desire to play games.]
