[ so, he's arrived and rogue filled him in on the important details of who was here that he may know - or may yet know, thanks to timelines being what they are. it's the sort of thing he's had experience dealing with before, but it was still annoying. in luceti, no one else had been privy to details that hadn't happened to him yet. if they even pertained to the same version of him - tony was well aware of the fact that there were several other iterations of himself somewhere out there in the cosmos. he's gotten used to it. ]

Alright - so, I'm here. [ does he even need to introduce himself? everyone knows who he is, right??? of course they do. ] Sound off if you think we need to talk and I'll use my flawless judgment to decide if it's worth my time.

[ yep. ]

For the rest of you, I need to know about switching my augment. As much as I like having my name on a door, I'm not here to help anyone sort out their issues. Believe me - that's not good for anyone. Especially me.

[Aw, human arrogance like that is almost comforting.]

Greetings. I am Daneel Olivaw. Whether we need to to talk, I won't presume to decide, but I can at least be at your disposal if you need anything in my power.

[Leaving aside the pressing matters of whether this is actually a Tony Stark she knows, whether he knows her, what he's doing here and the rest of those types of questions, Natasha really has just one thing that needs answering right now:]

Who in their right mind decided it'd be a good idea to make Tony Stark a counselor?

[ Moves like Tony, talks like him. But you know, didn't actually say it was him, and Buck's had enough of this alternate universe shindig by now to not assume. There's no arc reactor -- and he never thought that little detail could make him miss Tony, the one other person who knew what it was like to go under and wake up with a hunk of unwanted metal attached to his body. (And it does.) ]

[ Brusquely, ] And you are?

[Well...alright, he's not so sure about the first bit there, but all the same--]

Oh, switching augments? I think that's something you could probably do, yes! Though I don't think I've met anyone that's tried it yet... [He's pretty sure he remembers reading about this somewhere, hm. Tilting his head a bit:] Did you arrive recently?

[Wanda looks relatively bemused on the communicator screen as the feed clicks on. While she is somewhat pleased to see another Avenger has arrived in the Fleet, there are still some hard feelings between her and this one.]

I was wondering if you were going to show up here, Stark.

[The way she says his name. It's like there's a slight degree of bite to it.]

... Why would anyone need to talk to you? Are you supposed to be someone important?

I've heard switching your augment is possible, but do you really want to invite the Atroma to poke around in your brain more?

Well, if they gave you that augment, it's probably cause either they think you'll be good at it or they think you'll be so fucking awful that it'll be super funny. So option two, huh? There is a way to change it, I think. I haven't asked cause I like mine.

[ tony has no shortage of human arrogance. ]

[ well now, there's a voice he hasn't heard for awhile - either back home or in luceti. ]

[ rogue mentioned natasha was here, but like natasha herself, tony is testing the waters to see just which version of her she might be. ]

[ he misses the days when everyone knew him. even in luceti, he'd become infamous. ]

[ Whatever disbelief he has on him vanishes. okay. by like 40% ]

Great - then I'll be the first. [ he says this like there's no doubt whether or not he can do it. ] Just yesterday. What gave me away?

[ it's hardly the first time tony's been called out by a woman he doesn't remember, but he gets the feeling that's not the case in this instance. ]

Aha - you were. And why were you wondering that, exactly?

[ SUPPOSED TO BE SOMEONE IMPORTANT, she says. some people just don't know what they're missing. ]

Got it in one. I'm the important-est. [ okay, that sounded sort of juvenile. moving on! ] I don't know, they got rid of my wings, so they're already got a leg up on the last mysterious evil corporation I was kidnapped by.

... "Important-est". Should I just pretend you never said that?

[Oh god, it's like another Mal.]

Wings, and a second kidnapping? You're from that "Luceti" place, too?

Visiting an alternate, alien reality. Something you have some experience in, no?

[Again, Wanda is sounding a little more snide than welcoming. Not that she's necessarily trying to be this way... Plus, her jab is also her way of fishing to see if this Stark is the same Stark that she knows. Though it was already seeming unlikely.]

- Yeah, hi. [ wow, this woman's sure looking peached as pie, isn't she. ] As much as I love a good laugh, I've got better uses for my time. Do the powers-that-be have an 800 number?

Nah, it's basically like a bullshit corporate psych experiment, yeah? But you get to be in space! So that's super cool. With space bugs. And glowing fishies for pets. And seaweed that tastes like bacon, but you only get that if you're friends with Vision.

[Ah, a little self-confidence sure never hurt anybody. HE'S SURE NOT GOING TO TRY BURSTING THAT BUBBLE, ANYWAY...]

Haha, yeah, that's a good way of looking at it! I suppose it would be good to find out if it really works...and as long as you're careful, I think you'd be alright. [The question earns a bit of a shrug, though.] Oh, but you did mention--you said you were here, when you started on this post! So I figured you probably hadn't been here before. At least not for very long...

[And it looks like he was right, so that's something! But that also means...oh, right. He straightens, and waves a bit at the feed with a gloved hand.]

But, that's right, that means I should introduce myself! I'm Megaman, it's nice to meet you. Ah, I don't think you ever mentioned your name...? [Sorry Tony looks like you'll have to introduce yourself after all HE'S JUST...TRYING TO BE POLITE DON'T LOOK AT HIM....]

If by righteous you mean pretty damn twisted, sure.

[She studies the screen, matter of fact. So, he knows her, or a version of her. And he doesn't seem at all shocked by this. So she's fishing, the way she always does--tailoring her bait to the line.]

Is that the traditional Stark fake-it-til-you-make-it, or have you done this part before? Because you honestly don't look all that surprised to be on Space Survivor.

Well, I certainly won't deprive you of my charming company. How do you do?

[Said with all of the smarm he can muster (and it's quite a bit of smarm).]

I hope you don't mind living in what amounts to a little metal box.

Unfortunately, I haven't seen coffee available here. If this changes, I can let you know.

Beyond that, I do have other skills. As a robot, I possess a certain strength and speed that may be useful. I'm also in possession of a communications augment, and the skills that this implies. I am... flexible, and I would like to help, if I am able.

The one and only. [ okay, wait, no. ] I mean, the only one that matters.

[ all those other tony starks out there are losers. he's the genuine article, as far as he's concerned. ]

[ Funny, I know a guy who'd say the same. It's convincing enough. He switches to video, he's wearing his dark blue stealth suit with the silver star square in the centre, the left arm exposed and polished to gleaming. ]
