[ so, he's arrived and rogue filled him in on the important details of who was here that he may know - or may yet know, thanks to timelines being what they are. it's the sort of thing he's had experience dealing with before, but it was still annoying. in luceti, no one else had been privy to details that hadn't happened to him yet. if they even pertained to the same version of him - tony was well aware of the fact that there were several other iterations of himself somewhere out there in the cosmos. he's gotten used to it. ]

Alright - so, I'm here. [ does he even need to introduce himself? everyone knows who he is, right??? of course they do. ] Sound off if you think we need to talk and I'll use my flawless judgment to decide if it's worth my time.

"Megaman"? [ wow, and people thought "iron man" was a bad name. ] So, what, you're some kind of superhero? I mean, that name is kind of screaming "superhero".

[ also what parent in their right mind names their kid that? ]

Superhero? Oh, no! No, nothing like that...it's just standard naming protocol! Although it's not so normal here, I guess... [Ah and he'd gone so long without anybody pointing it out, too...things he still needs to get used to, he supposes. He shrugs, a bit sheepishly.] I'm a NetNavi, actually--a type of computer program.

[But he pauses after Tony introduces...himself....and that would also be a perfectly acceptable Navi name, to be honest, but after having somebody already run that particular made-fun-of gauntlet before (thanks Oren you're a bro) Megaman's a bit more liable to frowning at it this time. And he does, tilting his head slightly...but at least this time--]

So you're an android. [ that's what he takes a computer program in a body for, anyway. though he has gotten a little more used to the idea of a computer program taking on a human form thanks to his time in luceti. he met a girl there once just like that. ]

Par for the course. Not a computer program, though - just so you know, before you feel like bonding with me over it.

[It's good at Tony's already used to it, really! He's found it rather difficult trying to explain the program aspect, lately...it's hard enough clarifying that he doesn't usually have a body in the real world like this. And some people don't even know what programs are! Which is difficult too, since he's never actually had to put words to it before...

And so, with all that considered, he does perk up a bit again when Tony makes his guess so quickly.]

Yes, that's about right! They put me in this frame when I got here...I guess they didn't think I would be much good staying in a network. [WHICH HE'S STILL A BIT PUT-OFF ABOUT because that's still pretty rude, honestly!! They hadn't even asked him if he wanted a robot body or not...but Tony's next statement earns a bit of a laugh.]

Ah, gotcha--it's okay, though! I'm sure we could bond over plenty other things anyway, probably... [IS THAT SARCASM OR IS IT NOT with that innocent smile it's probably a bit difficult to tell, what a mystery] And you'd prefer I call you Iron Man, then? Um, since from what I know about superheroes they usually have other names that aren't their superhero names, right...?

[ he's wondering at the sarcasm-or-not nature of that statement himself. sure, they could probably bond over programming, though bonding over programming with a computer program is a little bizarre, even for him.

plus there's the fact that tony doesn't really...bond. he banters. it's very different. ]

[Well, hey, that would be the logical direction of a hypothetical bonding scenario probably....and programming is always good to bond about, as far as he's concerned! Never mind the bit of programception involved....

Well, I haven't really been looking for work lately, so I guess it's Tony for now! [He laughs a bit--but well, even then...] If you ever need help with something I wouldn't mind lending a hand, though! Especially since things can be pretty confusing at first, when you're new. I'm an engineer here, so--if something ever breaks? [He shrugs slightly.] Or if you want help building something, maybe...
