[Things have been going well for Allen the past month. Very well. And while that was certainly a good thing, he couldn't shake the anxiety that it meant something was about to go horribly wrong. Because you know, because it usually did for him. ]

[So he here was, trying to at least put a few of his fears at rest- especially after this latest round of augment malfunctions. Just what if the next round of malfunctions were less benevolent in nature? In truth - he didn't really expect any good answers. There almost never was when he sought out help. Still, there was always a chance. And at least he'd feel like he was doing something]

[The text post that is put up is anonymous, purposefully typed out not to sound like his own wording.]

i have a question.

is there anyone here who knows about stopping or containing demons or things like them? specifically possessions.

[Allen had spent the hour getting his room ready by covering any reflective surface and trying hard not to get his hopes up. It's not hard. Five years of looking for a solution with nothing makes you pretty tempered at the idea that this venture will turn up fruitless. Still...there was always a chance]

[And sure, he told Robin to message him when he docked but the truth is as soon as Robin's shuttle is in range? His eye pings him of this guy's arrival. So, he's pretty quick to meet him up in the cargo bay as he gets off his shuttle, giving a polite smile as he does so]

Hey Robin. Thanks for coming by so quickly.

[And Robin leaves his shuttle with a strange little smile of his own, glancing briefly around the Blue Fish's interior before nodding back in greeting. This is not what he thought he would be doing today... But that doesn't make him any less sympathetic about things.]

Yeah, sure. Figured you've already been waiting a long time.

[Aw that's sweet Robin. It has been a long time for him, years and years. But...he's not sure about admitting to that, as he rather not get his hopes up that this will change anything, so he'll smile and make light of it]

Ah, yes well- at least I've had time for plenty of movie marathons while waiting.

[And then he starts walking towards the door that leads to the quarters area of the ship]

Come on. We should do this in my quarters, you're less likely to get interrupted there.

Absolutely. Lead the way...

[as if he wasn't doing that already. he follows Allen without a problem, still looking curiously around at whatever signs of living are different here than on his own ship. if he's nervous or worried about what they're about to do, he's sure not showing it.]

You know, it's funny... You've been here since the beginning of things, right? But we've never really had a meaningful conversation before this. I had my first proper conversation with Crowley a couple of weeks ago as well. You'd think we'd be in better touch, being the "originals" and all.

[Yeah, they would be more in touch if he hadn't heard that you owned a slave, Robin. But Robin is helping him out right now, and it's help he really needs so he he uses all his restraint to prevent himself from giving the guy a flat look.]

...Right. It is rather strange we're all not more in touch, now you mentioned it. I never thought about it.

[MOVING ON; He points to the hatch that's near to the turn off for the kitchen]

That's my room right there.

[you're a strong person, Allen. he kind of forgets that people remember anything about him, sometimes. out of sight, out of mind. Robin's only got a shrug to finish off the thought, since they're moving on...]

[Pragmatism rules over sass this day! But he heads over and pops open his hatch, sliding down the ladder into his room like he's done it a million times before.]

[The quarters themselves looks, well, it looks like it got decorated by the residents of Halloween Town, honestly. Halloween colored lights, skull images- a lot of the stuff looks to be from that very first planet they visited. Though there's other odds and ends thrown in- medical books stacked up on the floor, various weapons picked up from Mor hanging on the wall and on any flat surface (including the floor), a small stereo sitting in the center of a visor on the nightstand, small fish tank with a number of glowing fish - and of course Timcanpy, relaxing on Allen's pillow. If Robin hadn't already known how long Allen's been here, how lived in his quarters looked should be enough to say.]

[he slides down the ladder just the same--and looks around Allen's room with the same curiosity with which he'd first looked at cargo bay. he'd seen all of this over the video feed, but up close he can recognize things and read book titles and what is that thing on the pillow.]

Oh, yeah. [he's just looking at Timcanpy, tilting his head a little... Robin is paying attention, right?] It's fine...

[He catches Robin staring at Timcanpy. Eh. Figures.]

That's Timcanpy. He's a golem.

[oh! he smiles very wide.]

What's that? He's cute.

Tim, come say hello to Robin.

[Tim hearing the order, stretches his wings and tail a little before lifting himself up and slowly fluttering over to Robin- in a slightly groggy sort of way like he was enjoying a nice time on that pillow and they interrupted him gosh]

Golems are a type of machine in my world, made out of mix of magic and technology. Exorcists often use them for communication. Though...Tim has a bit more personality than most.

[like a little mechanical bird. he's always given animals and (many) magical things a great deal more respect than he does humans... and this little guy is no exception.

he didn't mean to get distracted, but he holds his fingers up towards Timcanpy anyway.]

[the words themselves are gibberish, but... somehow inherently understandable.]

[It's a little weird how he understood that, because he could tell it was a language he shouldn't know. Maybe it was the augment acting up? Strange...]

[Still, Timcanpy seems to understand and is happy for the compliment. He'll fly over and carefully try to land on Robin's fingers. It's kind of like holding a quidditch snitch with little feet and a tail]

He seems happy to meet you too.
