[Things have been going well for Allen the past month. Very well. And while that was certainly a good thing, he couldn't shake the anxiety that it meant something was about to go horribly wrong. Because you know, because it usually did for him. ]

[So he here was, trying to at least put a few of his fears at rest- especially after this latest round of augment malfunctions. Just what if the next round of malfunctions were less benevolent in nature? In truth - he didn't really expect any good answers. There almost never was when he sought out help. Still, there was always a chance. And at least he'd feel like he was doing something]

[The text post that is put up is anonymous, purposefully typed out not to sound like his own wording.]

i have a question.

is there anyone here who knows about stopping or containing demons or things like them? specifically possessions.

i haven't seen it happen before myself, but my friend showed me some cases where the possessions actually happened -right there-. for the most part, they kind of come and go? but there was one that was an evil spirit that wanted to get her revenge on another spirit.

still, i wouldn't call that a demonic possession...

[It's totally awkward. He had been hoping to discuss the demon issue the date after never. But maybe if he tries really hard not to give himself away...!]

[Though what Clay is saying is weird. He doesn't even have to guess that he's talking about Apollo. Why was Apollo doing court cases about possession?? How do you even try a ghost in a court of law?? First the astrology thing and now this.......]

what happened in the case with the evil spirit?

[Aw maaaan. This is gonna take a while to write, and Clay hates doing long texting. But hey, the other guy wants to keep his anonymity, and he'll respect that.]

it happened a long time ago. a lawyer managed to pin the murderer of a case, the evil spirit girl, and she got the death penalty for it.

but she wanted to get revenge on the lawyer, who ended up dying a few years later. so while she was still alive, she and her mom cooked up a really complicated plan to

[... Yeah, he can't figure out how to explain all of it in a way that makes sense.]

its complicated. basically the plan boiled down to killing the lawyer's younger sister so that she had to deal with that for eternity or something?

but something went wrong in the plan. the spirit was sure she killed the little sister, but she actually ended up -possessing her- instead. and man, when she realized that? she totally flipped.

[YOU KNOW THAT SADLY...SOUNDS A BIT FAMILIAR TO THE PROBLEM HE"S DEALING WITH RIGHT NOW. Stupid vengeful brothers and all that]

well... i only know what i heard from my friend and what i saw a long time ago, so it might not be TOO reliable.

dead lawyer - mia
little sister - maya
actual lawyer on the case - mr. wright
evil spirit - daisy/dahlia i forget

so mia was also possessing someone. mr. wright was the one who managed to figure out what was going on, but it was really more like a battle between daisy/dahlia and mia.

when daisy/dahlia found out that she hadn't killed maya after all, it was like the final straw. she was so close to her goal and failed, she lost the battle, and - like i said, she flipped. saying 'how could i lose to you?' and stuff. they told her to get out of maya's body, and she was so distraught that she -did-. they had it on tape and everything! [It was so CREEPY.]

- Are you sure they mean people who practise law when they say lawyers?? Because that sounds more like an Exorcist case than anything that should happen in court!

[This might be part of the reason why Clay's so chill with almost everything/one he meets here.]

its not like the lawyers knew about it or anything though! but the murdered person was a spirit medium so that whole family had to be involved too

...I hadn't realised spirit mediums were a legitimate thing...

you know, there's a planet out there where talking party ponies exist. spirit mediums can be legit next to that right?

[Uuuugh sure bring up the talking party ponies. Stupid party ponies ruining skepticism for all]

what's impossible in your world can be totally possible in the next, even if it seems improbable. thats definitely something i learned by being here.

sorry i know that doesn't have much to do with the demon possession thing. but hey, maybe it's impossible in your world but totally doable in another

did you get any good hits with that problem btw?

Right. I'll do better to remember that.

[He has to stop himself from asking what "btw" means. He gets the rest of the sentence so maybe it's something unimportant.]

[Anyway, talking about this to Clay felt weird. Part of him felt happy that he seemed to care about this enough to ask and to see that Clay really was a good guy. Meanwhile the other part of him was totally worried about him figuring out who he was talking to and what would happen. Because hey, somebody in this conversation with white hair has insane trust issues.]

I heard a couple good ideas I hadn't heard before, so that's something. I can look into those. That alone is much more than I was expecting.

I mean, even the usual "the only solution is death" answer was more creative than normal- no one's ever suggested lava before! Have to admire that!

[Okay maybe you don't- but hey when you get that sort of sentiment every time you look into this problem, you get pretty jaded to the ways people offer to kill you okay.]

[That death is the usual answer and all. It's not like this guy could help it, right? It's kind of sad that killing someone has to be the only solution to the problem. All those stories he read about possessions of that sort suddenly seem way darker than he thought they were.]

but hey, it's good you found something, right? maybe they'll work out! or if not, they could be a step closer to what youre looking for anyway!

It's alright! No one's actually tried yet.

[Well okay, except that one time and he ended up getting stabbed through- but okay there were extenuating circumstances there! They were under a lot of stress. So it's really water under the bridge now.]

Yeah! Here's hoping something comes from it! That'd be nice.
