[the video pops on in the heron's bunk room, propped up on what can be assumed to be a pillow. hinata sits on his bed, and for the first time, he's decided to address the network. he never really knew how to go about it before, but now he has a reason to try.

[he's sitting with his knees up, a volleyball in his lap and his hands on top of that. his face is tucked just a bit behind it, adding to the illusion that he's smaller than he appears. for those of his shipmates, and those who know him, he seems... significantly subdued. when he speaks, it's apparent why.]

[ Hey, it's that kid from the beach. Allen recognizes the tell-tale signs the kid is showing here. Truth is, the main thing Allen does is watch recordings on Timcanpy...but he guesses the kid doesn't have that option. So time to go for the other trick. ]

Well...sometimes I write letters to my friends who aren't here. Even if they probably won't see them, it's like I'm talking to them, you know?

I think I've been doing that... I've been practicing really hard, even without the team! But I still want to go home and see them...

Not a lot... I had a couple on my phone, but that's all I had with me when I got here!

Someone here might be a good artist. You could have them sketch something for you, maybe.

[... Aww. Clay can relate to that; much as he loves it out here in space, he'd love to be able to keep in contact with the friends and family he left behind, and... he kind of can't do that right now.]

I write about all the discoveries I made, every place I visited, everything I learned, and all the people I met. I plan to tell everyone all about it when I get home!

Whoa, that's a great idea!! What kind of planets did the fleet visit before the last place?

Well, the last one we visited before the beach one, my crew didn't actually touch down on. It was surrounded by asteroids, and we were sure to get hit by them. Our ship wasn't very stable at the time, so it probably couldn't take being rocked so hard. [HEE HEE]

But outside of its orbit was a casino kind of place! A bunch of people went gambling, or they got tattoos or earrings! [He himself got another tattoo, it was pretty cool.] It was fun, but no person outside of the fleet wanted to go to the planet. Apparently, the planet itself would get pretty hostile to intruders after a while.

Ah... I've missed some pretty incredible places, haven't I?

[She's actually on the same ship, but she's hanging out on the bridge, so.]

Sometimes I do what I'm doing now: look into space and try to figure out which bit of light is home.

[She has no idea if her Galaxy is even visible at whatever distance this is--most likely it would just appear as another star without high-powered equipment. But she can try.]

Haaah... That's kinda lonely, isn't it? Do you want some company?

A little. [Space is always a little chilly for her, but the Fleet is actually less so than most of her travels in the GFFA because everything is so close together.] Yeah, come on up--check out how good I'm getting at piloting.

[he's gonna run on up, and within the next minute, the bridge doors open, and the tiny redhead bounds in.]

I try not to think about home. Not that I do not miss parts of it...

It is hard to think back on what I left, or what might be waiting for me if I return.

... I didn't really think about people having hard lives back home. I'm sorry!

[Wanda's eyes widen a little. She had meant to simply answer the question, but it seems she let herself get a little too somber again.]

There is no need to apologize. You simply asked a question.

[She doesn't really answer right away when she sees the broadcast, waits till she reaches the bunks instead, and raps her knuckles against the wall.]

Homesick, huh? [She smiles. Would it be weird if she answered the question anyway now...] There's a lot of really distracting stuff here, you know. I think it helps.

[he jumps a little, and looks up.]

Ah! Uh, a little. I know there's stuff to do, but... it seems kinda boring to do stuff alone.

[She grins, a little sheepish, and raises a hand in a wave.]

Maybe... You just need someone to do stuff with you! And I think... [She claps her hands together.] I bet anyone in the crew would love to.

[he makes a face that comes out kind of like a pout. it's completely natural, though, and not really intended.]

Do you know anything..?
